OK, here is a potentially dumb statement/question. I am losing weight and I urinate a a lot. Whenever I drink a lot of alco....water...ok both. I tend to urinate a lot. I am making the assumption that I am not retaining a lot of water then? Right..wrong?

So you're suggestion for getting ideas of a better cheese is to eliminate the suggestions of people on the internet as a starting point, go to the store and read 100's of packages? Rather than have the [mostly] wonderful people of this community make suggestions of a healthier alternative to what I am eating now? Seems…

Thats the thing I noticed with singles. LOADED with sodium and low it anything nutritious. Kind of a bad choice for a sandwhich. Flavor it is fine in my opinion, but bad for anything related to health and weight loss.
-
I'm goign to add you as a friend so we can discuss this further if that it ok haha.
-
My goal was to get input so I dont' have to read EVERY label haha.
-
mmmm muenster. my favorite cheese! :D
-
Oh yeah $10 isn't bad. I was talking not wanting to drop $20, $30, $40 on a block of cheese. I have seen many of them and I am sure they are delicious, but I refuse to spend that much. $10 isn't bad though

I love feta cheese. I use the Athenos Sun-Dried tomato stuff on my salads. Although one piece plain makes me feel like I wanna die because it is disgusting plain lol.
-
I am sadly in the midwest (Minnesota) so Tillamook may not be an option unfortunately. Many have suggested it though so I would love to try it. Im gonna look around tonight.
-
I completely understand. It's not that I don't like them. They just provide almost no nutritional value is all. And are loaded with Sodium.
-
On your recommendation i'm gonna try it; however, if I bite into my sandwich and this cheese makes it taste like my gym-sock I'm gonna hunt you down :P
-
I also do that from time to time as well actually.
-
OMG THANK YOU. You've been such a big help! Sorry to be a jerk, but don't you think I knew that? If I didn't know that I probably wouldn't have created a thread entitled "Is there a "Healthier" cheese than the Kraft Singles?
-
I just looked it up. Nutritionally it is much better than what I am eating. Will have to give that a try.
-
I think I will check that out.
-
KerryGold? I have never heard of it. I will have to check that out.
-
Ok. I am very aware that Kraft Singles are the wrong thing to eat. Thus why I created the thread. I am looking for examples/suggestions other than "Real Cheese" I could have gathered that much myself haha.
-
It wasn't the food as a whole, but I like to make turkey and cheese sandwiches. I top it off with "Vlassic Pickle planks" (2 of them) then I looked at my sodium intake for the day and it was 450+mg over and it wasn't even noon. Turns out it was those delicious pickles were ruining my sodium for the day sadly.
-
Thanks for the help! I will check that out. Thanks to everyone that didn't say "GO TO THE DOCTOR ASAP". I already enjoy this community. I have gotten all the answers I need. I'm outta here! /thread

Well since it has been established that it is unlikely a sugar withdrawl I am going to kindly ignore your advice and focus on the only thing in my life that has changed....my lacking intake of nutrients due to too low of calories suggested by multiple people.
-
Haha I havent heard much new since page 1. Like I said I knew it was a deficiency of some sort rather than a medical issue. I am pretty new to MFP so when I set my work-style to sedentary and it came up with 1500 calories/day I just assumed that was the proper recommendation.
-
Oh I wasn't ruling out your input at all. I appreciated it greatly! I was just inundated with people assuming I needed to go to the damn doctor over the shakes. If I went to the doctor every time I was suggested to online I would just sell my house and stay the night every night.
-
Thank you for being sensible. All the people saying "OMG GET TO A DOCTOR YOU ARE HYPERGLYCEMIC AND YOU'RE GOING TO DIE" were getting irritating. I was assuming it was because of the change in my diet, but I was trying to hammer down exactly what.
-
I know nothing about the process. The vampire lady came in. Took my blood and "tested" it for hyper and/or hypothyroid because it runs in my family. When I was told about the results they said that in addition to not having thyroid problems I wasn't hypoglycemic. Now--whether they meant AT THAT VERY MOMENT I have no clue.…

I am not saying you are wrong in any way here, but I have kept my daily suggested sugar intake according to MFP below what it suggests. Is that number still too high? or am I just getting that sugar from the wrong stuff (ie juice and such)?
-
I kinda think the same. Just for my own knowlege would you mind running me through an average meal day. If I am getting the shakes by 10am does that mean I haven't eaten enough up to that point or does that mean i'm not eating enough as a whole because when I eat they go away and I don't get them again the whole day. Just…

If it gets bad I will certainly go back to the doctor. It really isn't unbearable or anything like that. I guess I phrased my title a little on the extreme side. They aren't uncontrollable or anything like that. They are just new to me.
-
I do eat fruit as well I don't want to make you all think that me drinking a fruit juice is an entire substitute for my fruit intake.
-
Very very possible. I am not a nutritionist by any means. I read on different sites that there is a difference in the type of sugar and that the sugars in natural fruit juices are actually not bad for you. They still need to be in moderation, but they aren't bad like if it were from high-fructose corn syrup. I don't…
-
.......all I did was rule out possibilities.....I was just tested for hyperglycemia so it is possible, but unlikely. I eat enough protein so I am safely assuming it isn't that. I have been all ears here. I was just ruling out possibilites that are unlikely.
