Thanks everyone. I have Hashimotos Thyroiditis and i'm on medication for it. My doctor thinks 1200 is healthy. I think I might try 1400 and see how it goes.

Thanks everyone. I have my MFP set to lose 2 pounds per week with 1200 calories a day. I eat clean, whole foods and drink lots of water. I currently run 3 times a week and do yoga 2 times a week. I want to start weight lifting again but am battling rotator cuff issues and getting physio for that. Thanks.

I drink 2 to 3 litres of water per day, i don't eat any processed food. I follow a paleo diet and have been eating this way for months. I have thyroid disease however, which slows metabolism. Very annoying. I eat 1200 calories a day, but eat back my exercise calories.

Indulge a little bit and exercise more to offset the extra eating. Even if you can add in an extra 20 mins of cardio each day - it will help.

Counting calories isn't really important once you start eating paleo. Just make sure your sources of food are from primarily protein (meat, fish, eggs) and veggies with fruit and nuts/seeds. a new workout and meal plan. Can i ask why you cut out all meat & fish? Protein plays a very important role in weight loss. Your body needs protein and it burns more fat in digesting same. Take a look at the Paleo diet. I started this summer and am amazed by the results.
