  • I'm 24 haven't had a child, and I have Mirena since 2011 :). I was pretty nauseous too on Abilify. My best story about Abilify side effects - I met up with my mom at the bowling alley to bowl with my family. I usually bowled around 160, and I was barely breaking 100. My mom thought I was stoned... and didn't let me drive…
  • TRUST YOUR BODY! When you're sick, the last thing you should be worrying about is calories in and calories out. Eat when you feel up to it, and keep yourself hydrated. Oh, and get well soon! :)
  • I was on Abilify and I was always so groggy that I had a hard time getting up and walking to class. I ended up gaining a lot of weight because it made me feel worse. Granted, that was several years ago. I ended up stopping taking anti-depressants all together (because of other complications - I don't recommend it for…
  • I LOVE your hair <3 My before and after :) 204lbs to 135lbs!
  • 280 sticks of butter :D
  • General calculation for calories needed to maintain: Current weight * 12 = Calorie Estimate Subtract 500 calories from the estimate to lose 1lb/week, 1000 calories from the estimate to lose 2lbs/week. But don't go below 1,200 calories (for women at least). Not a new 'revelation'. Sorry bud.
  • I really don't like water (I grew up where water tasted a little like sulfer... it ruins it for ya!) I drink a LOT of Crystal Light. I mix a packet with 22oz of water, and drink 5 of them per day... and I have lost 70lbs, so I figure it's not "cheating" :) It's always the first thing I grab when I first feel hungry.
  • I am 5'9" and the first person to notice that I lost weight was my Grandma! I was surprised, because I went from 204 to 194 in my first week of losing weight! I started on a Monday, and she noticed the following Sunday :). For everyone else though, no one really started saying anything until I got to about 175... and now…
  • I try to log absolutely everything... except gum (I figure as long as I don't swallow it, it doesn't count). When I go camping in warmer months, usually I don't log what I eat. I would rather track my mountain biking, hiking, and other miscellaneous activities on Endomondo with my limited phone battery life :).
  • Pack a salad the night before. :)
  • Age: 23 Height: 5'9" Starting Weight: 204 Weight: 138 Goal Weight: 135 What I eat per day: 1,200-1,800 What I burn per day: Variable I bike a lot during warmer months and burn 400 - 1000 on rides. In winter, I don't do as much... maybe burn 350 calories 2x/week doing different insanity work outs.
  • Not crazy at all :D! I quit smoking, started calorie counting, and quit drinking soda all on the same day! The next 2 weeks were the most miserable 2 weeks of my life... but it was completely worth it :) Edit: I quit smoking cold turkey, and haven't looked back since. I personally think it's the most effective method.
  • My best advise: incorporate a "cheat day". I lost 63lbs eating between 1,200 - 1,800 calories/day (I eat more when I'm biking in the summer). My best advise is to incorporate a "cheat day." The next day, you will weigh more (of course) but with my personal experience -- I'm NOT an expert -- I would start losing weight…
