It is ALL about calorie deficit for me too. I ate 1200 calories per day. I exercise before the kids wake up and tried not to eat back those exercise calories. My portions and serving sizes were way off, you don't realize until you're tracking everything! Hang in there, it is HARD! I lost 45 pounds in a year, and am now…

I'm 5'5", 135 pounds. Started out at 179. My original goal was 140. Once I got there, I realized I could easily keep it going. I'm still sort of lusting after those last 5 pounds to hit 130, but I really am very happy where I am too. Pretty much just working on maintaining for now. I started weight training in the last 3…

I have PCOS! I'm more or less done with my weight loss journey but I lost 45 pounds over the last year, slow and steady. It can be done! Calorie restriction and exercise! :)

Not a fashion show, but a grand opening! :) It was fun. I love Athleta too!

You are so pretty!! Great work!

Way to go!!!! Great work!! I am also 5'5" and hovering around 137.. Would like to get down to 130-135. I also started a 14 and am now a 4! Isn't it great?? :)

43 pounds gone!

I always found it SO helpful and motivating to browse and see other women of my same height, something real and tangible to compare to and see what is realistic!

I'm approaching my 1 year anniversary from my bilateral mastectomy with immediate DIEP flap reconstruction on July 9. I was in the hospital for a week, but I took my doctor's orders to WALK WALK WALK very seriously. I was making (very slow) laps in the ICU. haha. I just kept up with my walking when I got home, almost every…

I'm not quite "done" but I don't know if I ever will be. 6 more pounds would be nice to round it off to an even 50, but I'm happy with the size I am now, would just like to be a little more toned. Have been working on some heavy lifting in the last 3 months. 5'5" Start: 179, size XL/14 Now: 136, size S/4

5'5" Before: 179 pounds. Size XL/14 After: ~136 pounds. Size S/4

Way to go! I, too, was registered for the Dallas Half, was so upset when it got cancelled. And I also ran Cowtown! Welcome to Half Marathoning! It's ADDICTIVE!!!

I'm on Day 4 of the 30DS and took before pictures.. I'm really interested to see the after pictures! I'm eating at a deficit and adding in some other form of exercise 5 days per week as well.

The light bulb moment is so important! I've tried to lose weight several times over the last 10 years, but never had any success. In July of 2013 I had a preventive double mastectomy and breast reconstruction. The type of reconstruction I had is called DIEP Flap, where they basically cut off your belly fat from hip to hip,…

It is absolutely possible! I used to be a 14 and now, 40 pounds later, I'm a size 6 on the verge of being a size 4. You can do it!

1,000 days! Amazing! And congratulations, you are inspirational!

When I started out, I never thought I could run any sort of distance. Turns out, I was just going too fast. I thought running had to be RUNNING. Once I let myself "run" (jog) as slow as I needed to, as long as I was still doing it, it was like a switch flipped. Speed comes over time.

I haven't read the other responses yet, but I cannot say enough about MOVING COMFORT!! Specifically the Juno bra. I used to be a 36H. Yes, H. I had a running store recommend the Juno to me, and it was amazing. After having to wear 2 sports bras my whole life, the Juno held them FIRM. I had a double mastectomy and breast…

Exactly.. So is the goal just to remove sweat? Or those who wipe down cardio machines - are you saying you wipe before or after you use? Or both? Are you talking Clorox wipe to disinfect? Or just a towel to remove moisture?

You look great!!! Well done!

Way to go!!! Success is not breezing through a 12 mile run. Success is FIGHTING for every. single. step. Well done!

I can't do music at all. All I can focus on is "am I done yet??" I found that if I listen to podcasts or audio books, my mind gets totally wrapped up in what I'm listening to and the miles just click by.

2002. So 12 years for me too! When all is said and done in 10 more pounds, I will never have been at this weight in adulthood.
-
Very cool!!! Congratulations on your hard work!

I totally deal with this! I started as a 14 and am now a size 6.. I can squeeze into 4s, but not go out into public in them yet. ;) But when I look in the mirror, I still see myself 40 pounds ago. I just do NOT see the current me. It's weird. I agree with the pictures - when I see a picture of myself, I see it. I see the…

Awesome!!! Way to go! I also hit 40 pounds today, going to 50! Congratulations and keep it up!

For me, it has been a combination of an increase of protein and "mind over matter". I found that if I really focus on getting the most protein out of my diet, it helps hold off on the hunger. And the mind over matter portion - whenever I feel hungry but it's not time to eat, I've learned to train myself that the hunger…
