You did NOT hit a mini goal.. You hit a MAJOR goal!! Celebrate it girl!! You look amazing. Congratulations on your hard work!

You are doing awesome!!! And I think you made a great decision getting those 12's. You'll be in them in no time! I kept 2 pairs of jeans from 2002 hoping I'd fit them again someday. I just fit them last week. :) Feels so good.

I have PCOS and I'm down 39 pounds! :)

How do you feel in the middle of a run? Do you not want to go because you hate it? Have a hard time getting through it? I used to think that I hated running. Turns out I was just doing the wrong thing WHILE I was running. Listening to music just did not cut it for me. I found myself thinking about when it would be over.…

I totally get it. There are lots of days I want to roll back over when my 5am alarm goes off to run.. But I have to say, I have NEVER ONCE regretted going out and knocking out my run. Push through! Fight for it!

dym123 isn't that funny how that works? Now that I've started shopping thrift I don't think I can ever go back. I have found tops at thrift stores not to be quite as nice, so I can see myself buying tops retail here and there, but the bulk of my shopping from here on out will always be thrift!

farrellb21 Here you go! You just need to post after the link.

It just has to click. I've been slowly gaining weight for the last 12 years, coming to a head last summer when I was 50 pounds overweight. I had tried to lose weight before in the past, and it just didn't work. I didn't have what it took to stick with it, for whatever reason. I wish I could figure out what is different…

This was when I was about 28-ish pounds in, 179 to 151. I know sitting down isn't the best example of body shape, but I avoided pictures at all costs so I don't have a good comparison!
-
Way to go!! You are doing awesome! I'm hoping to come back to this in a couple months.. I'm about to cross 40 pounds, aiming for 50!
-
You are stunning, girl!! We seem to be in a really similar place.. I started at 179 and am aiming for 50 pounds.. we're both 38/39 pounds in!
-
Could you make a special trip into the nearest large-ish town with a Goodwill and stock up on a couple sizes? At the low prices you won't be out a whole lot buying sizes down in anticipation of the weight loss.. I've been so thankful for goodwill through my journey!

Cheeseburger or hamburger happy meal, depending on how many calories I have and how desperately I want that cheese. :)
-
Yep. All 37 pounds I've lost is simply calorie restriction. I eat whatever I want, just in moderation, and I budget the calorie allowance for them. Pizza, desserts, McDonalds, Chick Fil-A, chips & queso.. You name it. I just keep it under 1200 calories per day and if I go over, I exercise a little more to help account for…

You look incredible! How tall are you? I hope to look like you when I'm done! I started at 179 and hope to go to 129, I'm 5'5".

I'm with madhatter. After being "invisible" in public for the last 10 years or so, I love that I'm now getting looks again!
-
I know I'm a bit older than you asked for (32) but hopefully I'm close enough. :) I'm 5'5" and started at 179 pounds. I'm now at 142. Not quite done but hoping to go somewhere in the low 130s. You can do it, and will be so glad you did!

35 pounds down, 10 or 15 to go!
-
Moving Comfort ALL the way!!! I was 34H before my mastectomy this summer. They were SO great and kept "the girls" strapped down! The "Juno" model is the best.
-
Well, it's all a moot point now. The race was just canceled. So disappointing! :(

I'm in Dallas! Hello!

Last year I went from a 5K base to my first Half Marathon in about 3.5 months. I needed to stop and walk for about 3 minutes between miles 11 and 12, but the weather was unseasonably hot and muggy, and it was just a tough day! I think you can do it! But you REALLY have to stick to your guns and get those long training runs…
-
Amazing!! What an inspiration!!
-
Way to go!! You look fantastic!
-
Thanks everyone! I think I'll do 10-11 miles on Saturday and see how it feels. If it's good, I think I'll go for it!
-
Yes, it's the Metro PCS Half Marathon!
-
Oh back when I had nothing better to do!
-
I am just over 20 pounds right at 3 months. I wasn't obese but definitely overweight. I do 1200 calories per day and exercise a minimum of 40 minutes per day, ~4 times per week.
-
You are gorgeous! Well done!

I get up at 4:45 am and either go running or go to boot camp. I love my Saturdays when I get to sleep in and go at 7 am! :)
