I would have to say Bob. I think he is the standard. Dolvett is nice to look at, but a I could watch him from across the gym.

I know, right?! What a copout. Put someone in there who will stay the distance and not quit after 1 week. If you were going to miss your family, you should not have gone.

We are pretty darn close: SW: 234 CW: 176 (after Christmas!! :grumble: ) GW: 154 (but may go lower if I feel I need to. That is "healthy BMI" for me.) Height 5'6" Age: 41

Shoot, I forgot! I will start tonight. And do 10 to make up for the rest I didn't do!

 @qthompson, are you watching the Biggest Loser? It is the season of "no excuses"!!

Not eating fruits and veggies. My challenge will be to get at least 3 servings of fruits and veggies every day. I know that is not the recommended amount, but honestly, there are weeks when a fruit or veggies doesn't cross my lips. :embarassed:

And make sure the monitors are secure to your chest. It is telling you it can't detect your heartrate. So you are are either dead or it it isn't tight/secure enough.

Ok, I obviously don't follow instructions very well either. I am not going to hit 3500 this week, but it will be my goal next week. (Sorry!)

My goal is 2550 (425 a day for 6 days) Mon: 446 (Body pump class and 12 mins of running to warm up) Tues: 446 (spin class) Wed: 422 (rowing class and an additional 20 mins of running - intervals) Thur:calories burned (how they were burned) Fri: calories burned (how they were burned) Sat:calories…

No, but they hurt like hell, so it should burn more calories!

Don't worry about speed. As you do more, you will get faster. Never be ashamed of how fast you are going, just remember you are lapping everyone sitting on the couch!! Enjoy the ride!! (good shoes and good bra are also key!!)

I decided in January to take it one choice at a time. I would tackle the low hanging fruit and make gradual changes. I set very modest goals, but logged religiously. And keeping my diary open was a big step toward accountablity. Make up your mind to do it, one step at a time. You can, I know you can. But you have to know…

Welcome Brooke! Be conscientious of your eating and you will find you can do it. Good luck!

Love the Biggest Loser! My goal this year is to be lighter than all of the contestants at the final weigh in. Some of the women get really small, so it will be a challenge. I am very excited to get started!!

Is there someone else who is a friend to him that she can call? This sounds like a really unhealthy relationship and being scared for the other person is not a reason to stay. It is good that she has you as a friend.

Weight loss isn't always a straight line. Even if you are doing the same thing from week to week. Your body is a highly complex system and it is not uncommon to lose, then stay the same (often when your body is shrinking) then lose again. Water helps, but don't get too hung up by a down week. If you are honest and keep up…

I would also suggest finding a specialized trainer. In the Lafayette area (Indiana) we have a gym that is also connected to a rehabilitation group. So they have trainers that know how to work with people with injuries or other conditions that make exercise tough. See if you can find something like that in your area. If you…

Agree!!!

Yup, love my Polar FT4. Only thing that would make it better would be if it had GPS capability. But you have to spend a lot more if you want that.

I double up. Only current solution I could find.

I had just started a spin class (my second ever) and I noticed the seat was loose. It kept moving side to side as I was peddling hard, but I didn't want to stop because I knew how hard it was to get going again and my feet were really strapped in. Sooooo, long story short, the seat popped off and I totally fell off the…

This should be fun!

I'm in! Sounds like "fun?!?!?" :ohwell:
-
Ran 15 mins on the tread at 5.5 mph to warm up and get my heart rate up, then did a body pump class. Tomorrow is spin class!
-
Me too!

This! You look fatter when you squeeze. Don't worry about the number. Find a pant that looks good on you. I am anywhere from a 10-14, depending on the brand.

Great job!
