Do it! You will feel so proud of yourself when you are done. There are amazing bridge programs to go from C25K to 1/2 marathons. Remember to go slow, do the training runs and have fun!!

I have never felt thin. But I look back on my weight from 20 years ago and I was definitely at a healthy number. High end of the healthy number, but still healthy. Amazing that we always feel big, regardless of what the number is. My goal is to hit the number I was at when I was 26, before I had my first child.

Love spinning, but I'd wait. Good luck on your Marathon!!

Breathe~ and take a second to focus on 1 or 2 things. Then really stick to those. (like drinking your water and getting at least 7 hours of sleep). Do that for a week. Then If you consistently do those, add exercise at least 3 times next week. When we try to focus on everything all at once, it is easy to feel discouraged.…

this is why I love MFP. Everyone is embracing their success and encouraging others. We are all getting healthy together. Congrats to everyone who has posted pictures! The transformations are incredible.

I recently raced in a sprint triathlon (300 m swim, 20K bike and 5k run) and was definitely concerned I would be dead last. But I decided my two goals were to run the whole 5K run and finish. That's it. I wasn't going to worry about my speed or my place. I finished and was not the last person, but it really didn't matter…

I am 42 and have about 16 more to go to reach my goal of 80 lbs lost. These last 16 lbs have been hard, so I can always use an energetic friend to keep me motivated. When I see other exercise posts, it reminds me to get moving. Feel free to add me. and Good luck!

I think they look great. But if you feel uncomfortable, maybe a size bigger would feel better. I was so used to squeezing into cloths, that now I like a little "room". :ohwell:

Some people will hold on to the last few pounds until they are done nursing, and others will lose them more while nursing. It really depends on you. If you are eating healthy and adjusting your calories to include at least one additional serving of a dairy (milk, yougurt, etc), that will help. You are giving your son a…

Wow, there are only 48 in the US. I thought it was much more common that that. Of course there were over 6 million Marys, they just didn't have my last name.

Nice job, mom!! Points for figuring that out. I love when my cats chirp at me as if they are trying to talk to me. Don't they know I am too stupid to figure it out?

LOL, agreed!!

You look great! Thanks for posting the progress pictures at different stages. It helps to see where others are compared to where I am. I do have to say though, I am most jealous of your profile picture! I so wish I could do a back bend!!

42 and in the best shape of my life. :drinker:

Let's face it, we are scarred for life! :ohwell: (But in a good way. )

I know, it makes me giggle too. Alas, I don't think the school is there anymore.

Wait until you do. It is the weirdest feeling in the world. Even now, after being in Indiana for over ten years, I still get the urge to pack up and move.

Howdy from another "brat"!! My parents retired in Ft Lee and I was stationed in Wurzburg in the mid 90s. :drinker: :drinker:

It is easy to get overwhelmed by all the changes you think you need to make. When I started over a year ago, I tried to focus on one choice at a time and making it a healthy one. If I did have a bad one, I wouldn't let that lead to 10 more. Don't worry about your family history and the past. This is a new day and a new…

I found that my winter treadmill workouts where I could control the pace were really helpful in increasing my speed. I was running at a 12:30 pace last summer and just last week I finished a 5K at a 9:15 pace. I much prefer to run outside, but the treadmill was useful

I thought Kim looked so much better than Conda and Jeremy. I know it is all about percentage lost, but Jeremy just looked flabby but Kim looked like an athlete. I think you are right that her muscles probably hurt her. But I bet she makes plenty of money with speaking engagements. I am just glad that Conda did not win.

I say "Thank you." and change the subject. They are really trying to pay you a complement (or I choose to believe that) and frankly, my weight is none of their business.
