Good for you!! You have identified a huge lesson. We are all responsible for ourselves. You can do it!! (although you don't need me to tell you that. :flowerforyou: )

Same boat here. I do try to train 6 days a week, 2-3 strength days and 5 cardio work outs, with at least 4 of my workouts before my kids wake up. (I get the gym at 5:15 am) But the important thing is I do what I can. Don't beat yourself up if you can't find the time for more, but be mindful of the wasted time you might be…

Beautiful!!

I would say tightening up your chest muscle will actual help give your girls support and the illusion of size, even if you have lost the fat. If you have a gym nearby that offers bodypump, I highly recommend it. it is an all over weightlifting class that is guided by an instructor. Great way to get started.

It really doesn't matter what the "typical" thanksgiving calorie amount is. What matters is what our calorie count will be. I know if I ate 3000 calories in a day, I would be absolutely miserable. My plan is to enjoy those things I don't normal have, but with in reason. Yes, I will have a piece of the pumpkin cheese cake I…

Ooooh, Daniel Craig would be a good one. But I will say Bob Harper, Angelina Jolie and Gerard Butler.

Lipton is fine.

Awesome!! Very needed functionality.

I am 5'6" and started at 234 in January. My goal was originally 160 but adjusted it down to 154, which is the upper limit of a healthy BMI. I plan on gettting there and holding for awhile to see how I feel. If when I hit that, I decide I can go further, I will, but I want to get to that healthy BMI first. If you are…

I usually take it in the shower with me once a week and wash it with body wash. (When I remember, I should say.)
-
LOL!
-
Me too! last night's run was a bit awkward as my pants kept trying to fall down.
-
That is my next goal, to weigh what my drivers license says. I am 1/2 a pound away. :)
-
Don't give up! Focus on one choice at a time and you wil be ok. You can do it!!
-
LOL.

I'm shooting for 600 calories of exercise for the three days before and I will "bank" at least 200 each day. Then on Turkey day, I am going to go for a run. With that, I will log everything and hope for the best. :flowerforyou:

Congrats! I'm a beer drinker and McDs eater too. I sometimes feel guilty when people check out my log, but I keep my calories under and it works. Onederland is as fabulous as we thought it was!! :drinker:

It is great that you have recognized the signs that you were heading down an unhealthy path. I have never struggled with anorexia, but have certainly dealt with binge eating and it is so very easy to delude yourself into thinking it is ok. I am only now starting to recognize the panicy feeling I get when I am gettting…

That is great! Keep it up!

That is truly an amazing story! I have embraced the same philosophy of one step at a time. Thanks for sharing!

Do you eat breakfast? You may find that initially you are really tired, as your body adjusts to the schedule, but then you will feel better and more awake. A vitamin is also a good idea.

Polar is a great brand. I have a polar FT4.

I take all the complements in the spirit they are given. I know I looked bad before and have lost a lot of weight. The only "complement" that I really took offense to was "I am sooooo happy for you." (Of course you have to know the woman who said it is the most condescending person I know.) My response? "Thanks. Me too."

Feel free to add me. I done 6 over a span of 20 years. Some the smart, healthy way, some not so much. I am slow, but steady. I'm doing the Indy Women's half marathon again next september. I am not a cold weather runner, but have taken my runs inside to the treadmill. Good luck to you!

I can totally relate to what you said about feeling comfortable in my own skin. 58 lbs ago I never felt comfortable, just big and tired all the time. Take it one choice at a time and remember to be good to yourself in your thoughts, words and actions. You can do this!! Friend request sent! :flowerforyou:

Definitely invest in the HRM. When I do body pump, I only burn between 250-300.
-
I average over the week. The phone app has a weekly summary, so it is really easy to see. Especially when I was doing long runs getting ready for my half marathon, I would eat more the night before, then burn the calories in the morning the next day.

Hi all, I am Mary and I started on MFP in January 2011. So far I have lost 58 lbs and I have 22 to go to get to my healthy BMI. I plan to enjoy that for awhile before deciding if I need to lose more. My approach has been to take this nice and slow and focus on moving more and eating less. I am looking forward to connecting…

Great message for a Wednesday morning. It was fairly easy at first to stay on that wagon. Now that I am so close to my goal, I feel my consistency wain. In the past, I would fall completely off the wagon and go back to old habits. And I have to admit, I felt myself fall into that pattern this weekend, especially. But I…
