Hang in there. That is a rough situation, but it does sound like your supervisor has your back. If he crosses the line, file a complaint, but it sounds like you are doing the best you can.

I tend to ignore most of the adds. Unfortunately the boot ads from Zappos.com are hard to ignore!! :noway:

a couple of things: 1. Find out if your college has a fitness facility. Alot do. Even if you are at a community college, they may have a deal with a local YMCA or gym. Having that resource can be very helpful. 2. Set daily goals for yourself. Today, maybe focus on your water intake. Then tomorrow, add keeping your calories…

Wow! That is ballsy. Just remember, you can lose weight, they will always be ignorant jerks!:grumble:

Nice suggestion!

I feel the same way. I almost have to plan it or I go to the wrong stuff. Try fruit or yougurt. I like the yocrunch with oreo crumbles. it is just sweet enough that I don't feel deprived, but only 120 calories. (the 4 packs. The singles are 180) Hang in there. Whether you go cold turkey or you substitute, you will find a…

Don't fear the scale. If you are afraid of it, face it, find out the number and move on. Everyone (overweight or at a healthy weight) gains and loses. Don't beat yourself up. But if you don't face it, you may not be able to stop the upward slide. I know that has been my problem in the past. You don't want to step on the…

look at runner's world's website. They have programs for running races faster. The other option which I was considering was using my couch to 5K app and rather than run/walking, I would job when it said to walk and push harder when it said to run.

I focus first on calories and then on saturated fats. I would not worry if you go over a bit on protein. Just don't go over a lot all the time. Balance is key. Balance over a period of time, not just daily.

Very nice!! I like that saying. I just have to remind myself that it is true!:ohwell:

Fridays, after my morning work out at the gym.

I'll totally with you! Besides the fact that at home I always find other things to do. I admire folks who can workout at home, but I needed the structure and motivation others.

Not really. when people ask how I am doing it, I tell them about MFP, but that's about it. If they join, they'll see what it is all about. I started using my phone app (iPhone) before I found the website. I love them both!! my phone for the convenience and the website for the more robust community aspect.

I mixed it up. I try to do bodypump at least 2 mornings a week at 5:15 am, and spinning 2 mornings at 5:30. I also usually get in about 3 runs. But I will also throw in a yoga class on occasion, although I wish I was more consistent with that. I try to keep mixing it up so I don't get bored.

I use the lower of the two.

LOL. I knew what you meant!!

Welcome! I moved from Indy to West Lafayette about 5 years ago. I would start slow with exercise. Find a class or something that you can enjoy. Walking, yoga, skating, swimming, are all things you might want to try. Give it some time and you will start to feel differently, (I hope). Some days I only like my exercise when I…

I take it one choice at a time. There are no "forbidden" foods and I focus on keeping my calories below my limit and getting my exercise in. In the past when I would try to go from my normal diet to a totally clean diet, I would fall off the wagon very quickly. Now, If I have a brownie (like I did at lunch), I log it, and…

Welcome! When I started in January, I had 80lbs to go to get to a healthy BMI. I am now 21 lbs from that goal. I encourage you to find supportive friends and keep at it. It is tough with little guys at home, but this is a great place to get support. Feel free to add me if you would like. Good luck!!:flowerforyou:

I know how you feel. Feel free to add me as well.

I'm starting to feel my attention to detail drop too. We just need to refocus and keep going. I'm focusing on exercise right now to keep me motivated through the fall weather. Pick something you want to focus on and do it. You can, you know!! :drinker:

You are at a great age to lose weight. As you go through the losing process, you are going to see loose skin, but if you keep it up and include weight training and toning (like pilates and yoga) in to your fitness routine, your skin will bounce back. Even though I am 20 years older than you, I have noticed my skin…

The message is intended to encourage you. If you ate like this everyday, you would weigh this much. Is it perfectly accurate, no, but for some of us it reminds us that we are not going to see immediate results (as in 20 mins from now) but if I keep at it, I will see a difference and so with the scale. Everyone is…

Welcome and great job!!

Started in January, and it my first plateau last month. But my goal was really modest (5 lbs a month). Last month was the the first time I didn't hit it. I lost last week, then didn't lose this week, so I dont' know if I am fully out of it or not.

Use it to push you forward, but I gotta ask. Did he "used" to have tact? :grumble:

I hope he is ok. I'll be praying for him.
