Probably cold but It sounds like it's already over to me. But it has more to do with insecurities and being able to feel comfortable with the one you're with rather than the actual weight. Red flag to me.

I would take a look into the compound lifting programs like Stronglifts or Starting strength as a beginner. Simple way to make sure youre hitting all the muscle groups and it will work you out. Plus theyre simple. I have had great luck on it. Just an idea to maybe look at.

Sounds like you're doing strong lifts. A normal olympic bar weighs 45 lbs so you will have an easier time communicating your weights to people if you use the weight of the bar included in what your lifting. Ex.
