My first dive into real, sustained weight loss can be almost directly attributed to the first season of the Biggest Loser. The contestants were more..."normally" overweight (I believe one of the female contestants started at 175 or so) and I got moving. At age 29 I was the fittest I'd been in my life, and stayed really…

THANK YOU FOR THIS!! I'm so excited to get fully back on the wagon.

I bailed on the WW, too. I've gained a bunch of weight (between anti-depressant, binge eating [resulting from the depression]) and am panicking. It seems to be continuing to pile one, though my weight hasn't fluctuated much since I dared to start watching again. How do I get back to basics, folks? I need to rein in the bad…

I was on Paxil for about 4 months and GAINED 30 LBS. My guess is that the medication was not actually helping my depression, and may have even made it worse, causing me to eat garbage, which caused me to feel terribly about myself, which worsened my depression, which caused me to eat garbage. You get the idea. I weaned off…

Although having read all of this, maybe I will?

I'm going to try to get a killer work out in in the AM. Then I'm going to eat my weight in Thanksgiving food. Then I'll go for a walk. Then I'll eat my weight in pie. Then I"ll take a nap. And kill it again on Friday. Thanksgiving is my favorite.

My superhot bf is bald. He eats burgers, too. :)

I would log, but as others have said, ignore the sugar goal. It's lame. Current Weight Watchers guidelines don't have you log, and they're really good at what they do, so there's something to it. Put still log, because of the caloric content. Hit your protein and calories, and you're golden.

Your off week is your period, right? That sounds like what happens in my regular, not-pilled life. Sorry, lady. But....yes...I'm here because I gained 65 lbs during my pregnancy...so there's that. :)

time for a new trainer!

100 calories? Even if you meant 1000, this doesn't sound healthy.

You've lost 76 POUNDS!!! Just go! You're amazing!

My son has special needs, and multiple appointments every month. Thank GOD for my parents and their ability to help me. I don't know what I would do. I would love to be able to stay home to able to be there for him with all of this stuff. I also miss a lot of their "things," Christmas party at school, field trips, etc…

Oh, and yes! Take walks with the family. Do dead-lifts with your toddler. Have a dance party.

Here's what I've found works for me: I am DILIGENT about my calories. I enter every last little thing. I eat a lot because I'll go nuts if I don't. I'm at the gym at 5:15 or so every morning. I'm back around 6. (this does not happen as often as I'd like it to...I'm in Ohio under a DEEP FREEZE) Once an hour I take a brisk…

Is it really unflavored? Like really and truly? I loathe protein powder. I'm currently using Plant Fusion. I will survive, but I hate it.

Oh, punkin. This makes my heart hurt. Something similar happened to me when I was like 12 and delivering papers on my paper route...a truck full of older boys (high school, I assume?) rolled up next to me and said "walk faster, fatty." I think I've dealt with the emotional ramifications of that since then, and I'm 36. And…

I echo the *dietdietdiet* refrain. Stay within your daily net calorie goal and you will lose weight. With a goal like yours, I'd definitely check in with your doctor or a nutritionist. But yes, exercise is good for your heart. Check out Walk Away the Pounds on YouTube to start. It's boring, but very low impact.

Hi! Friend me if you'd like! I'm 36, single working mama of 3 year old twins...I have my food diaries set to public. Good luck!
-
I *begged* for nutrition/caloric guidelines when I was pregnant, and just got the "eat healthy" from my doctor....proceeded to gain 65 pounds (which is how I landed here...ha!) with my twins who came prematurely. I didn't get any real guidance until I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes. I would again ask your doc, but…

Liposuction...lol. But seriously, walking hills.

Would we have better luck putting it on our shoe lace during an elliptical workout? I've heard about that with biking.

Great work!! Love this. I sometimes feel like I have to get skinny before I can exercise in public. What? :)

150-155. I've been under 150, and only briefly....with 1100 calories a day and two intense workouts a day. I can't live that way....155 is healthy and I look awesome at it. :)
