I have found that American Eagle runs small.

You're correct. You want to "net" 1200.

I have a serious problem with the munchies at night. Particularly, I love sweets. Oreos, chocolate, cookies, peanut butter... What I do (and it's working) is I wait until about 8:30 and then I have a big bowl of fruit (usually strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, pineapple, grapes, cherries). I have about…

Boom. /End thread. Edited because I'm a re re and messed up the quote

You come back stinking. It's not pretty, but its worth it in the end! I usually try to wipe myself down with a wet paper towel, re-apply deodorant, spray some nice smelling spray, change my undies, etc... There are also a few quick methods to blow dry your hair after a workout.

Hmmmm I wonder if this stands true for my current month-long time of the month? If so, that'd be nice.

Some people prefer to calculate their TDEE as if they don't exercise and then add exercise calories by day. No it's not a textbook "TDEE" calculation, but it works just the same.

Great job!!!

I've never done Zumba but it looks like fun! And I love your idea about the outfit :)

I think you are correct! Honestly, he's never been concerned about my weight, even when I gained a lot last year it didn't bother him. It's more just me wanting to feel good about myself and for myself! But also looking good for him certainly is good motivation.

These are all very valid points! We've already had a few conversations about how much my eating habits have changed and he says he's really excited to join me in my healthy journey. I think the fact that they don't really have any healthy options over there has made him pretty sick of junk food. He is the type who can eat…

That's very kind of you! Thank you :)

I am a vegan and can tell you that I do not share those views. My best friend just so happens to be a vegetarian transitioning into veganism, but that has nothing to do with our friendship. I will admit it's pretty awesome to have a friend so close that shares my beliefs, but if she didn't, I would love her just the same.…

Great ideas! I've been thinking about trying calorie cycling and eating 2100 everday (with the amount of exercise I usually do, it comes out to .5lb -1lb a week defecit). It seems like my non-exercise days are the worst because I don't get to eat as much.

My mistake... it's 3:35 for me to qualify. 8:20 pace. And I wasn't aware that you could run it without qualifying?
-
We completed it in 5 hrs almost on the dot... which came out to an 11:30 pace. My average long run pace is generally around 8:30-8:45/mile. We started the run at about a 10 min pace and she sustained it for about 11 miles... the only issue is that she recently suffered a pretty bad knee injury so the pain kicked in and…

Same here!

I'm aso 5'7", I'm at 137 right now and I'm a size 2 and can get away with wearing that with no shame! You don't necessarily have to weight 110-115 to be a 2. I also have a good amount of muscle though :) Keep up with the squats!

Thanks for all of your input! Unfortunately I don't have a lot of health food store options because I am in southern Georgia which is NOT health food or vegan friendly!! But I did find out that the Method brand sold at Target is vegan and not tested on animals so I stocked up on their detergent. hand soap, and cleaning…

You can add me! Newly vegan :)

There was recently an article about this on RunnersWorld.com. Basically, what it came down to is this: One or two drinks a night may very well be good for your running but any more and your body may start depleting glycogen stores and you may get an adverse effect on performance. I will try to find the article for you.…

Bump...?

Thanks! I'll give it a shot.

I've been using the fitbit one for a few weeks and I am pretty hesitant to eat back all of my extra fitbit calories... Does anyone on here feel like it over-calculates your TDEE?
-
Do you have any links to credible sources that defines this "law of diminishing returns," as it applys to running? I stopped using MFP's calculations and I go by my HRM, which is always much lower than MFP anyway. Edited for poor grammar lol.

Also, I'm not having difficulty meeting my calories (even 2600 days), it's the fact that I physically feel like I'm over-eating.

Okay I made my diary public! (Note, I tend to "graze" during the day so most foods aren't actually eaten at the time they're logged) Thanks for all of the great advice. I eat a vegan diet (about 99% of the time) so full fat milk isn't an option, but I do love myself some avocado and lots of nut butter! I realize I didn't…

Express has a lot of very cute, age appropriate shorts! They have varying lengths, all very conservative, IMO.

I get up to 60 grams of fiber per day. Friend request me and you can ckeck out my diary. Pay no attention to this past weekend (Friday)... I didn't log accurately that day. ETA: Friday is inaccurate.
