I only burned 1 pound in 10 days so I feel some empathy here. I'm just gonna keep going! although, I have eaten a little more and exercised a little less, but I'm on my feet all day. Keep going, better than gaining - that's what I'm saying to myself. Playing the long game this time x

Yeah, I really need to find small goals to work towards, but we always end up getting carried away and looking too far ahead. I'll see it as a positive that I only fell off the wagon for about 5 days. It's still crap, but it could've been worse... Thank you for responding! x

Day 40! keep going! :) 5 days to the halfway point!
-
Interesting - I binged when I was stricter, "falling off the wagon" but now I'm allowing white rice (in sushi) and the odd sweet snack, etc and I am finding it much easier, no cravings or anything. It's about physical and emotional satisfaction. It's about moderation and realising you haven't thrown it all away because of…

Just seen this thread - keep up the good work! very impressive! I'm aiming for 22 days (going to Berlin after that)...let's do it!

I always just go by estimating that every mile you walk/run burns roughly 100 calories. I'd try to find the exercise for walking on here, and enter the length of time you did it for. I don't really trust the machine's data.

I do 5.5 hour shifts at a restaurant too, I'd like to know the answer to this! but as I am full time, I have it set to 'active' anyway, so I don't suppose it makes much difference. I don't want to be overestimating though. I don't have to scrub things though, just walk taking orders etc...so it won't be as high as what…

I'm hoping to be at 9st 5lbs in about 8 weeks, and from there, who knows! Hoping to run Edinburgh marathon on 25th of may so the healthy living will be continuing anyway, so either way I WILL get there. And onto a leaner, runner's life! x

It's ok to have 'day 1's...it's annoying, but a fresh start is always good. I'm on day 5 of my fresh start, after 4 naughty days. You can still have day 1s without deleting your account though, you'll feel better if you can look back on stuff :) x

I'm more post-punk but can I join in? :) x

Yeaah, was going to agree with the post a bit further up - we don't have thanksgiving in England, it's just Xmas we all overindulge at! But one day won't do much damage, I wouldn't worry too much :) x

Wish I could go and eat authentic veggie indian food! Know what you mean though, went to Japan for two weeks recently - lots of carby noodles, white rice etc...just didn't weigh myself before and after, was just reeeally strict and healthy the week before, and really strict a few days after I got back.

Haha! “The habit of eating porridge only came into existence because a tired woman mistook some oats for a cup of tea and poured milk onto them. “The results were disgusting but she just shrugged and poured them down her throat because who gives a **** when you’re late for work.”

I just came back from a two week holiday (lots of food and booze), and when I came back I had naughty days, seeing my friends, eating and drinking alcohol. I started back on here a week ago, and I'm happy, because I know that by the end of next week, I'll be the weight I was before I left and the weight will just keep…

What sort of cross training works best for you? I'm a runner, working towards a 10 mile race. I'm planning to start swimming as soon as my costume and goggles get here! :)

Yeah, this. Definitely. But I don't get cravings for chocolate of sweets or deserts or crisps/"potato chips" or anything, fortunately. Well, I like crisps and nuts and houmous with a beer/bottle or red wine. Just mindlessly nibble on that. But on a day to day basis it doesn't appeal to me.

Wondering about this myself! Don't eat sweets, not interested in them, but seems a shame when it's fruit!

Name: Kyoko. From: manchester, England. Top three goals: - Train for 10 mile run on 8th Dec - Eat wholesome, nutritious food, seeing the benefits of cutting out crap. - Get to 10 stone or under! Favourite sin food: Pizza! Hot vegetarian from Pizza Palace. Amazing. Day two is going great! wholewheat pasta is being prepared.…

I am indeed!
-
Would have liked to lose the rest of it, but 1 Stone seems more realistic.
-
Well, I want to have got 38 pounds off before the holidays. 15 so far!
-
I am! before Xmas wasn't it? x
-
I meant this :) x

Spot on! Agree with all of the above. I'm 7 weeks into running, gonna do a 10k run this Sunday! x

I'm 23, and have been veggie for 8 years :) It says 'Salmon and Avocado Hand Roll' on my diary because I work in a sushi bar, I eat avocado hand rolls with no salmon on my break, but MFP has all the nutritional information on the former, so I just tick it. Veggies feel free to add me! x

Sorted! sorry for the bother!

Ah! but how do I get it to automatically show??

Me too! I want to know how to get the ticker to show. I've created it, but I can't work it...let's see... Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Free Calorie Counter

I'm looking to lose 38! 30 initially really. How do you get the little counter at the bottom of your comments? :)
