Make sure your road ID is very viewable. I had a friend who had an id in his shoe. He had a heart attack while running. It too the EMT's a while to figure out the id was IN the shoe. Couple hours before family knew, they were looking for him. Sadly, he did not recover.

Road ID on my shoe....I almost always have it on...unless in dress shoes.

I'm getting married July 11. I am waiting to do a fitting until after school gets out, so will be early June. I figure that will give me time. Good luck to you, hang in there, and don't stress. Just make the best eating choices you can each day and move daily. That is doable, right?

I have a flex and it is my most favorite fitness tool of all! Mine links to MFP as well and it's a wonderful way for me to get a better 'feel' for my activity level. I try hard to reach my 10000 steps a day and that little party on my wrist is worth it. I also was surprised how unwell I slept. Learning sleep patterns is a…

My goal at TDEE - 20% is right at 1500 a day. I eat that and some of my exercise calories as well if I'm hungry/want something else. I am also small, right a 5 feet 1 inch or so and I weigh 112-115, depending on the week. I am trying to maintain and right now drop a few to have a 'cushion' for my impending honeymoon in…

I have had my Fitbit Flex since August of last year. I simply love it. I wear it all the time, except for in the shower. I charge it once a week on Sunday nights, takes about 3 hours. It provides accuracy with my steps and miles. It is very motivating and I would recommend it.

I have a flex and wear it each day, all day, except for showers and Sunday night charging. I wear it loose and clean it daily. Love my flex and have had no rash issues.

I really liked this thread because of the commitment to pets and their food. Kudos to the MFP community for taking care of our pets! I spend about $100.00 per week for two adults, a 16 year old son, and two cats. We eat out on the weekend twice a month usually. I take my lunch and snacks to school, the boy eats lunch at…

I am going out to dinner and a concert tonight too. I will eat/drink out of my ordinary. I had steel cut oats for breakfast and a bar for lunch and a veggie/cheese/fruit snack. I also logged some quality exercise. I am going into the night in a good place with a 1200 calorie deficit still. I checked out the menu of the…

I am 42 and getting married for the second time next July (2014). It's a second for both of us and we don't need a thing! We plan to have a big 'ol party to celebrate our new lives together and don't want or expect gifts other than folks to come and party with us. I am still looking at how to deal with the 'where are you…

Many of the posts to this OP focused on it affects them, not me, keep mouth shut, etc. Well, the way I see it, as an American, is it DOES affect me. ONE reason health insurance costs go up due to unhealthy folks on the plan with self-induced illnesses such as type 2 diabetes. As a nation as a whole, we are fat and obese,…

read wheat belly, it's a book. It's wheat...evil, evil, wheat.

I always look ahead before eating out to drive what I will order. We seldom eat out and I am wheat free, so lots of different things to look out for. Salads are often some of the highest in calories and fat.

Yes, TDEE includes my usual activity of moderate exercise 3-5 days a week. I thought that is what TDEE was, inclusive of your daily activity.

I'm a consistent logger and try my best to support others/offer advice when asked. Feel free to add me and we can help each other. Angie

overall it was fantastic! I set goals around health and fitness, finances, and taking care of me! I have logged consistently for over 200 days and do pretty good with eating decent and being fit. I am debt free, outside of my mortgage and I have some emergency cash in the bank. On the taking care of me end, I have worked…

I try hard not to drink calories unless it's the occasional juice and skim milk. I do save up for red wine, and I log it, and it does use up the calories, but so worth it!

I have just started taking supplements and am logging to catch nutrient counts and to ensure I remember.

I stay, for the most part between 1200 and 1500 a day and eat soooooo much food. It's amazing how much I eat and all this week I'm at a deficit of 200 or so calories after exercise. I think alot has to do with what you eat and what works for you. I am small and don't need alot of food. I make the best choices I can, while…

red wine! I try to leave calories for it most days and if my two 6oz. glasses put me over, oh well!

I teach kindergarten in a school with over 60% free and reduced lunch in a metro Atlanta county. My kids are 5 and 6. I know of 3 who don't eat unless it's at school. I encourage my students to save any food from the cafe that has been unopened and uneaten and take back to my class. I send that food home with those who…

I teach school, kindergarten. What really gets to me as a taxpayer AND single mother is when students receive free lunch paid for by the taxpayer BUT they can bring $1 each day to buy and ice cream. That's $5 per week per kid in a family. Many of our families have 3 children in our school. That is $15 a week for ice…

I am a small woman who is pretty active in my work and I work out regularly....3-5 days a week. My daily goal is at 1200. I use it as a guide and it works for me. I feel like I eat and eat and I work in my daily wine. I do go over at time and I'm under at times. I eat when I'm hungry and pretty much whatever I want in…

I too, love the red, and I drink it. I tend to leave an extra 300 calories a day for the wine. To me it's worth it. I eat balanced and I work out at least 5 days a week and I allow for my wine.

I teach and have just finished my 'required' summer reading of professional books so I dove into the Fifty Shades trilogy. I am loving them, so much more than what I thought the books would be and I can't wait to find out what happens in the end.

consistent exercise, tons of water, low sodium, lots of fresh veggies and whole grains. I think watching sodium intake and eating as much fresh and raw foods as can keeps me full and helps me stay on track with weight.
