  • This is why I limit wheat. Wheat is an inflammation causer which makes my joint pain horrible. It's amazing how much better I feel and can move when I'm 'off' wheat. I haven't thought of limiting carbs for further pain control....perhaps I'll give that a try too. I so don't want to have to go on meds.
  • Chobani. I add a drizzle of honey and LOTS of cinnamon (love cinnamon) and whatever fruit I have on hand. If I'm feeling wild, I'll add some dry oats or a bit of granola.
  • I drink water, lots of it.....I love it. I down about 120 oz a day, more if I'm super active and when it's hot and humid here in Atlanta. I can empty my 72 oz Camelbak on a walk. I also eat my share of fruits and veggies which are often 'water dense'. At my recent doctor appointment for a check up, she told me I was…
  • I have wine most every night with dinner and cocktails on weekends. Just log it and account for it. Everything in moderation and one has to have fun!
  • It is easy and just as cheap if not cheaper to eat healthy. Today alone at my local grocery (Kroger) I hit the meat jackpot! They had pounds of organic/grass fed ground beef marked from 7.99 a pound to 3.79 a pound. I bought as much as my budget could afford and put in the freezer. I also scored chicken breast and pork…
  • I have the charge hr. Upgraded from the flex (which I had worn for 2 years) in early March. I love the charge hr more than ever! It keeps me stepping and helps me meet fitness goals. I'm a long time fitbitter and MFP user.....over a 1,000 day streak....so staying motivated and on track are important to me.

  • I deal with anemia regularly...despite my eating habits. Yes on the eating vitamin c with iron rich foods. I also take a prescription iron pill. If you are a grit eater, they are super high in iron. If your low iron continues or get worse be sure to get it checked.
  • Can't answer you specific question...but I drink 10oz red wine most nights. I budget in my goals and plan for it. I do eat, a lot as well, but I make sure that about 250 calories are left behind for my wine!
  • I have worn a fitbit flex for a year and a half or more. While it's not needed to be active and lose weight, and if money is an issue for you, don't get one. If you an afford it, the little device is such fun. It motivates me to move and I look for that vibration at the end of the day when I've me my goals. I have also…
  • I make muffin tin eggs. I make a bunch (48...all my muffin pans) on a Sunday once a month. I leave out a weeks worth and freeze the rest for the remainder of the month. Spray muffin pans with cooking spray (no need for liners) and fill the sections with whatever ingredients you have on hands....diced meat, veggies, cheese.…
  • I am almost to a 3 year streak...all my data is there from the beginning.
  • had it tonight, pizza, salad, wine, and some chocolate. Only put me a bit over my goal as I did a long workout. Enjoyed every second of the workout and the meal!
  • 945 days! Almost to 3 years.
  • sand, grit, and tiny rocks are common in quinoa and has nothing to do with rinsing or not rinsing. It's part of the 'harvest' process. Removing the sand bits is labor intensive.
  • I prepare muffin tin eggs on Sundays for the week to come. Whisk eggs along with whatever cheese/meat/veggies/spices you'd like. Pour in muffin pans and bake. Super easy, way good, and portable for an on the go breakfast or lunch if needed. Depending on your cheese/meat each 'muffin' could average 200-250 calories. Add…
  • I do her videos regularly. I love them and I add my own twist to them with weights or more jogging, etc. They come in so handy on cold/dark/rainy days.
  • I usually take leftovers. When I don't have those (teenage son in the house) I take salads, wraps, Boca burgers, oatmeal, chicken salad on rice cakes, tuna salad on rice cakes, or a sandwich. I prefer leftovers as I like a hot meal!
  • two adults, one teenage son (17) and two cats, right around $400 a month, including all paper items/toiletries, etc. I buy what is in season and cook once for multiple days. I take my lunch to school and limit 'junk'. Make the teenager buy his own sodas and poptarts, etc. Oh, I'm in Atlanta.
  • I'm a fitbit girl!
  • I'm getting close to 1000....860+.
  • I'm a long timer....logged over 830 days in a row, years of this now. I used to spend some time on the forums, etc. and every once in a while something catches my eye, like your thread here. Folks have always been extreme; you have to filter through it all and find what you can use and apply it to your situation. You can't…
  • I've been logging each day for over 800 days and for a bit longer before I got 'serious' about the everyday thing. It's part of my routine. I weigh right at 110-112 which is an ideal weight for me. I've been there for a while so my 1500-1600 a day maintenance is working. I like to log. Only takes a few minutes. Should I…
  • I love her videos. I get them on youtube and use them as my 'walk' on days I can't get outside due to weather or too dark. I haven't used the one you reference. I log them as I would a walk....the one I do the most is a 3 mile one in 45 minutes, so I log that as a 4 mile per hour walk. If I do one that uses weights for at…
  • I'll hit 800 on Saturday. As far as when you go off grid; have a friend or family member log you in. Also, they will reset your counter.
  • My target is 1500 per day. I am a long term logger; almost 800 day streak. Feel free to friend me and check out my diary. I am a 'real' food eater and wine drinker.
  • I have a fitbit flex. I've had it since last September. I simply love it. I wear it all the time and it motivates me to MOVE.....almost and obsession at times. It's great how it syncs to MFP and to my health benefits website. It is so worth the 100 bucks, which is alot of money to me. It also holds a great charge, I charge…

  • I battle with anemia; yucky stuff. I take a supplement with a vitamin C twice daily. I eat as many iron rich foods as I can. If you are a grit eater, they are excellent sources of iron. Many cold cereals are as well. I eat leafy green veggies as often as I can. Hang in there! The anemia tired is horrible.
