  • Chiming in for answers also...I started eating about 1600 calories a day about 6 weeks ago and concentrating on lifting and HIIT 3x/week, with usually 1 Pilates class and 2 days of running for fun...I see a noticeable (good) difference in my arms and legs, but it seems like my stomach has gotten rounder! So frustrating!…
  • So if I don't belong to a gym and can't do any of the fancy lifting, should I not even bother?
  • Thanks! Good to get an idea of how many reps I should be doing. These are the selecttech dumbells, not a machine
  • I put on a belt I haven't worn in a while today and had to put it on the smallest hole! This is the first time I've ever really recognized an NSV so I was soooo excited!

Only half because I don't measure all of my food and I also don't have a HRM, and I know the calorie counts on…
  • I'm getting married in 5 weeks, and my second dress fitting is TOMORROW! I've lost 8 lbs since January, hoping to lose another 4 lb before my final fitting. Congrats everyone!!!
  • I definitely do enjoy cardio but it's hard to enjoy it sometimes after a long day at work, an hour on the subway, 20 minute walk to the gym, etc :D I've done some interval training (on the treadmill and elliptical) but I'm not sure if was necessarily high intensity. I'll definitely look into that some more to cut some time…
  • Thanks for the replies! My reason for wanting to cut down is literally just time...on days when I do abs, arms and cardio for example, I'm not home until 9 PM and I just don't know how much longer I can maintain a schedule like that. I don't do anything complicated with lifting, but I've been working up my strength a LOT,…
  • Thanks so much for responding! I calculated TDEE based on a day he would work out (probably 4 days a week). So he shouldn't eat back exercise calories right? I never calculate exercise in my own TDEE just because I'm never 100% sure if I'm going to make it to the gym or not. So on days I do work out I usually eat back only…
