TIL that free isn't the same as free according to common sense.

I use a schosche rhythm. I'm 179 lbs and spent 54 minutes at 90% max HR and another 6 minutes above that. It was a trail run with some steep hills.

When I sit around and do nothing, I burn 2400 calories a day, which is 100 per hour, which would be 0.6 per minute. How are you burning three times that? What the hell are you people doing in these "meetings" anyway? Also, that total day including sleep only adds up to 17 hours. Maybe the calculator is only intended for…

Is whining and making excuses a form of exercise?
-
The above has you burning 2.4 calories per minute while sitting down. Do you weigh 800 pounds?
-
I've been using a fitbit for over two years and it has been accurate enough for me to gain/lose/maintain by eating according to the number it calculates. Maybe stop being cheap and get a calculator that doesn't suck. Last Saturday I ran 6.5 miles and burned 17 calories per minute for just over an hour.

Pfft! That's got nothing on Colon Blow cereal!

You can. So what? You can also reproduce without ever having sex. Doesn't mean it's a good idea.

Derpers gonna derp. And people who hate on pizza can all go die in a fire.

Your first mistake is believing that the news is supposed to be our source of up to date facts and truth. It's just another form of entertainment.

Duh/wah.

Weddings are stupid.

At 180-185 lbs I consistently burn about 135-140 calories per mile at almost any pace.
-
You mean like you have?

OP, nothing that you or anyone else is arguing about in this thread makes a damn bit of difference. It doesn't matter what the actual numbers are or what genetic factors are or are not at play. Just go do a progressive lifting/strength program, eat at maintenance or more, and you will get the results you want.

When I lived in France I lost a bunch of weight because all their food is frickin horrible.

Air Supply?

"I want it now" is why you still haven't made any progress.

For who, Daily Mail?
-
You didn't mention pop tarts. Why do you hate people who eat pop tarts?
-
It's not the process that is obsessive.
-
It's been your experience that you don't know what moderation means.
-
The pro-clean-eating people are, as usual.
-
I want to see you eat 3500 calories worth of salad.

Nobody suddenly goes from morbidly obese to bodybuilder.

So how many multiples of my daily need for Vitamin A will maximize my health? If I eat 17 times as much vitamin A as my body needs, how much healthier will I become?

You may want to read this post of his again:

Yeah, it's very interesting (and IMO telling) that these people nearly universally do not have pictures of themselves, will not say how much progress they've made, how much exercise of what kinds they can and do perform, how many calories they can eat in a day, and keep their diary locked down. Yet they're more than happy…
-
What progress? You know what all the clean eating fanatics on here have in common? Not one of them has a level of athletic or physical performance that I would ever want. Yet they always claim to be "healthier."
