Constant pace vs constant effort while racing?
Just curious, is there a consensus (or reason behind) either keeping a constant pace or a constant effort? For example if you're doing a 2 mile race that is 1 mile uphill followed by 1 mile downhill, should your splits be equal, should you try to keep the same amount of effort, or something between the two?

Running, when to stop?
I did c25K last year and ran a 5K in September. After that I started using Higdon's 10K intermediate program. I got a few weeks into it but then it hit the point where I was supposed to run 5.5 or 6 miles. I can do 5k easily, and 4 miles too. But every time I get over 5 miles I start hitting a wall.
