I don't generally log leisurely walks since thats pretty much what my job entails anyways so my body is pretty used it. Unless it gets my heart rate elevated I don't count it as exercise and even then I tend to only count it if I was wearing my HRM. Like I took the dogs to the river yesterday to do some swimming and my…

I dont think a HRM is absolutely necessary but I recently got one and its a great tool to have. Theres def. a difference between my monitor and the machines and its nice to be able to track my burn during circuit training. They dont have to be a huge investment either. I got my polar ft4 off ebay for 50 dollars unused and…

Ive never really relied on outside sources to make my food decisions. I learned a lot just by reading labels. When my dad was diagnosed with diabetes I found out that there is pretty much sugar in everything including things you would never even think would gave sugar. When I started counting calories and reading more…

I can make 3 gallons of turkey spaghetti sauce with under 20 dollars. But unless you want to eat spaghetti every day I can't really offer much help. It costs my boyfriend and I about 300 - 400 dollars a month to eat healthy.

I can do about 7 or 8 girly pushups with decent form. Real push ups. Forget it. I'm working on it though. P90 FTW!

The first week you tend to lose a good portion of the excess water weight you've been carrying around which explains the seemingly super fast weight loss. It's not very realistic or healthy to expect to continue losing weight that fast. If you have a lot of weight to lose aim for 2 pounds a week. Some weeks you may…

I've had that same issue. I loved feeling full like I couldn't eat anymore. So I still eat about 4 meals a day. About 1500 calories a day. But I drink a TON of water with every meal and snack so that I can still get that full feeling without the calories. You end up going to the bathroom a lot but that's not really that…

I'm a World of Warcraft nerd myself. Even have a horde tattoo. I'm Ziaki on Shadowmoon if anybody plays on there. Used to be on Malorne but that server is so underpopulated it's sad. I raid 9 hours a week. Currently 6/12 heroic. /brag Don't play too much other than raiding now that it's nice outside. Not too big on…

I have a FT and I love it. I got mind off of ebay brand new still in the box for 20 dollars cheaper than retail price. It works great and it's comfortable. It's super easy to setup and only took me a few minutes to figure out how to read it and scroll through the different readings and such.

If you just started that isn't too uncommon. Whenever I fall off the wagon for a while and I come back to my diet and exercise the first 5 - 10 pounds drops off super fast. Most likely it is water weight coming off.

I use a huge paddle brush. Shampoo and condition every other day or it dries out I just use cheap stuff as I don't have the income to justify buying 5$ bottles of shampoo. I only have problems with tangling if I don't blow dry thouroughly. I wash my hair upside down and brush it the whole time I'm washing it and put a…

A good friend of mine is a certified yoga instructor. I go to him for a private class once a week, schedule permitting. It's not a super calorie burner but it's great for building core strength and balance. And depending on the instructor (mine is amazing) it can be a huge stress relief and a much needed zen experience.

That's awesome. I keep seeing recipes on here for 100 calorie deserts but the recipes make like a dozen which doesn't really do me any good. I'd eat the whole pan. I love these microwave recipes for just one serving of something.

I just started the regular P90. Just doing the work outs. Following my own diet. The first day I did the sculpting video but I only had 10 pound weights at the time. I spent a good portion of the next day in bed crying I was in so much pain. My advice. Make sure you are using light enough weights and make sure you modify…

Through Fire and Flames - Dragonforce Actually pretty much anything from Dragonforce gets me pretty pumped. I always work out way harder when I'm listening to them. Even if you are not big on metal they are still pretty good. It's more like speed metal and you can actually understand the lyrics.

I don't want to sound rude so I hope this doesn't come off this way. But why does he think it's funny? Is there anybody in the house that makes a big deal out of it when he does it to make him think it's funny? Maybe your daughter? My bosses daughter is 9 years old and still thinks it's funny to moon people because her…

You should NEVER lower your expectations EVER. Just make sure you are expecting the right things. Don't expect Mr. Perfect super hansom. Don't expect Mr. Has a great job. Don't expect Mr. Braniac with a PHD Do expect him to have at least some things in common with you or at least know that he's likes things you might be…

Double chocolate fudge brownies with caramel swirls.

A&W Bacon Cheeseburger combo not with just regular fries but Chili Cheese fries AND an order of Cheese Curds dipped in butter milk ranch. And of course a nice big A&W root beer. I have to admit that it still sounds tasty but I don't think I could actually eat all of that with out getting horrendously sick now.

Number one reason I invested in a HRM that shows calories burned. The website calculator definitely has a tendency to be WAY off. They can be expensive but they are definitely worth the investment. Also try keeping an eye on ebay. I got a brand new still in the box Polar F4 for 60$ including shipping.

I want to look good in my bikini and actually believe my boyfriend when he says he doesn't want me to wear it because he doesn't want guys gawking at me. And good enough where my friend says "Yea you look totally hot." Instead of "Well it doesn't make me want to claw my eyes out at least" I want to be small enough and…

That time of the month always wreaks havoc on my diet and exercise. I crave carbs and I'm totally exhausted and have no motivation. Next time I'm going to try the iron supplement like the other posters said. Any tips for curbing the ravenous carb cravings?

*jealous* I have a bikini picture but it's more a before picture and definitely not that flattering. You look great.

You should be logging pretty much everything that you put in your mouth. Fruit still has calories even though they are good for you, they still count.
-
If it weren't for her I'd be losing my mind right now. My boyfriend says "You can't wear that it shows too much." Which I can only translate as boyfriend speak for "It looks horrible but I don't want to tell you that because I don't want to get kicked in the nads." And then of course everybody else says it looks great but…

My goal for this week is to simply get back on track. 1. Start counting and controlling my calories again 2. At least a little exercise every day. (Going to be trying P90) 3. No binges!
-
That would be Non Scale victory. Basically any success you have that isn't exactly a pound loss.
-
I never really mind that number. The plain fact is that none of us do or eat the exact same thing every day and if we did it would probably slow our metabolism down. There's also so many other variables that it doesn't take into account. I try my best not to use that number as a goal as I'd feel like I"m setting myself up…

i started at 220 pounds. The bare stomach picture in my profile is at 165. At the moment I'm at 155. Thus far I don't really have any loose skin but i've lost most of this weight over about 3 years of on and off dieting. As long as you lose it at a reasonable pace your skin will have plenty of time to shrink up.
