I am back again after slowly gaining back 45 of the 55 pounds that I lost originally on MFP. The thing is that I have gained and lost weight for my whole adult life like this (not to that extreme though). I just wanted to be done with the tracking, and weighing and constant monitoring. It takes over my whole life, no…

Hi there! I'm a 38 year old mother of 1. I would like to lose 80 pounds. I'm currently on day 14. I am starting over again, it's sad because I have started again so many times. My goal is simply to be healthy and stay healthy. With me I find that I am either gaining or losing weight. Like you I have never lost all of the…

I think everyone does this....well I do. I am just getting back on track again after losing 55 pounds I gained 30 back in 13 months. WTF!!!! I agree with a few of the other posts on here that you maybe your being too aggressive with your goals and being too hard on yourself. I tend to lose control when I feel like a…

My story is very similar...currently weighing in at 214 also but my highest (that I know of) was 248. I am 5 ft 7 in. I have tried a million things over the years and I know that MFP works for me when I stay focused. I was really successful in 2013 and lost 50+ pounds but in 2014 I dropped the ball and blew up again. When…

Congrats on your weight loss so far... Thanks for sharing your story, and reminding us that the scale isn't the only way to measure our successes- I really needed that right now. Also, what an amazing and thoughtful gesture to donate your dress to such a wonderful cause. Good luck on the rest of your journey.

Zumba is a lot of fun- it's great cardio, flexibility and toning. Sometimes when I really want to push myself I add light weights to it- ankle weights and dumbells. I really enjoy it and actually look forward to it.

I was on WW a few years ago and it was a very positive experience. I enjoyed the meetings and the community support . It is very costly though- and there is a lot of pressure to buy their products (even though they are processed and usually terrible for you). The biggest difference that I have found is that MFP focuses…

Your BMR - the amount of calories a day your body needs to live. If you consume less than your BMR, your body will start conserving energy thus lowering your BMR (and damaging your body in the process). At that point, the same calories you were consuming becomes less of a defict and can actually become a positive number.

You look wonderful- all of your hard work is definately paying off.

What a great accomplishment!! Good for you.

I am in the same position- just cleaned up MFP friend list of people who have stopped logging on to MFP. I come on every day and my food and exercise journals are open to my friends. I love to keep in touch and be supportive. I still have a long way to go and would love more friends to make it possible. Anyone can add me!!

I have lost 48 pounds so far and still have 26 to go...really need some more supportive friends as I have seen many of my old friends disappear over time. I come on every day and love to keep in touch with MFP friends. Great job so far- you should be proud of yourself.
