  • From my experience eating 'clean' the past 4 months, I don't think you're eating too much fruit! Like you, I struggled meeting 1200 calories...but have found ways to increase it to 1350, and even up to 1500 since I eat half my exercise cals back. For breakfast, I also eat a small-med banana with natural peanut butter. I…
  • Honestly, no. Age thing...as in he's my dad's age ;)
  • Hoping to be a Success Story soon!! I'm 5'8. HW: ~210lbs Current Weight: 180lbs Goal Weight: 150-160, really depends what I look like Took about 4 months to lose 30lbs, so I'm celebrating my half-way goal...
  • I could, so I did! My man, fat cat, and I moved from the USA to Portugal. Loving it so far!! Lived in Ireland, France, and Honduras for a short time before this, so I guess you can say I like getting around. When ready to move again, I'm thinking Australia or New Zealand. Ultimate move will be retiring in Jamaica, but it…
  • New to this group...so stopping by to say hello. My name is Jessica, and I'm here to learn about strength training. After so many years, I finally feel I have my diet figured out. I know exercise is important for me to get fit and stay healthy, but there's still a lot I don't know!! I've had gym memberships in the past and…
  • Failure never looked so good! :) Reaching and maintaining a healthy weight is a huge accomplishment...glad you're acknowledging it as so... Very inspiring!!
  • You are beyond amazing!! I love your story and sound advice. Also love how you have pics documenting everything....definitely helps illustrate your journey!!! I'm ~10 years younger and hope to look as good as YOU one day. Truly inspiring!
  • D8L3 done...2 more days!
  • I'm pretty close to losing... the amount of cheese an average American eats in a year (30lbs)... Gross :)
  • D7L3 done...countdown continues...just 3...more....days....AGH! Really looking forward to finishing the program....so I can move on from it! I like the Shred and plan on incorporating it into my future exercise routines, but the repitiveness of the program itself gets tiring. Loving the results though, and I am way more…
  • D6L3 done tonight...4 more days and sooo glad I stuck with it.
  • WTG getting through it!! It's the hardest day...trust me, it gets better. Make sure you do it tomorrow, even with the soreness. You'll find that you're able to do it all, and it may even feel a little easier....shocking, I know. Best of luck making it through the whole program...the results are worth the sweat and tears!!!…
  • oops...double posted...stinkin internet.
  • I'm just gonna revive this topic because I'm doing the Shred now, and I can't agree more with the title. Didn't take long to realize that Natalie slacks off and relaxes her form all throughout the 3 levels, whereas Anita is performing each move with perfect form and accuracy. I think Jillian made the wrong choice when…
  • D4L3 done...and I'm feeling awesome!! Doing most moves at Natalie's level, maybe even better ;) Don't look like her yet though...lol. Keep it going!
  • HA, forgot to mention my own height... I'm 5'8 Anyone else is free to add me :)
  • We're pretty darn close...don't know your height though. I am 28 Female Starting Weight: 212 Goal Weight: 155 Sending you a request now ;)
  • I still say try 30DS. You can watch it on youtube. See if it looks fun. If it does try it. If you have to modify a move to stick with it, modify it. [/quote] ^^This! It is definitely tough on the knees: I had never had knee pain before, and after doing Level 1 for 3 days, I developed a nagging pain behind my left knee cap.…
  • D3L3 done! Already improvement from day 1 of lv 3...and I really like it! 7 more days!
  • I remember when we switched from 2% to Skim milk...when I was younger, my mother had high cholesterol and she started buying Skim for the whole family. It seemed very watered down and tasteless at the time. Now, I love it and 2% seems very thick and strong. If you decide to switch over, try transitioning with 1% first, and…
  • You could try out this soup by SkinnyTaste: http://www.skinnytaste.com/2011/02/baked-potato-soup.html Super tasty...I make it over and over again...a great go-to pre-workout snack in my opinion. Very filling! I don't add the cheese, bacon, and I never have chives on hand. I sometimes crumble a few saltine crackers in. It's…
  • Seriously awesome! Did day 2 of Level 3 today...really happy I've stuck with it...I would love to have similar results, but not sure if it'll happen, visually at least. Still have a bit of fat to lose. But I am looking forward to finishing up in 8 days, taking a break, and then doing Ripped in 30...and perhaps Insanity…
  • Sure, count me in! My birthday is April 27th, and I hope to be 20 pounds down by then. Add me if you'd like!
  • Completed day 1 of lv 3 yesterday. It wasn't as bad as expected. And I really disliked Level 2, so I'm happy to move on. Excited to improve on it today.
  • Oddly enough, I experienced pain in my left knee throughout Level 1 of the Shred too. I wasn't convinced it was the Shred at first since I was also doing other exercises on the side. And it did get better as I progressed through the level. That being said, I was never in agony. It was more of a nagging pain in and around…
  • Awesome progress! You're an inspiration! Thanks for sharing!!
  • Oooh, reading through this really makes me want a Fitbit...I think I'd get a lot out of it and pretty much know it wouldl motivate me to be more active in between work-outs. I have a work-out reward jar going...instead of buying clothes with the money, I think I'll buy myself a neat gadget to keep this going long-term!
  • Level 2, day 8---done.... If anyone would like a confidence booster, go back and do level 1 after completing level 2 for several days. I did it this morning and it was borderline easy! What a vast difference since day 1 in endurance and strength!! Keep it going everyone!!!
  • Level 2, day 7! Excited to be nearly done with level 2, but nearly terrified of level 3. Must.....Keep....Going..... Good luck all!
