True. But OP wasn't asking for low GI foods, OP was asking for low carb high protein.

I wanted (and now have!) both for one reason. they both do different things. the fitbit is basically a fancier pedometer but it is able to log a bit easier -- this is great for if you are a walker and not a gym rat :) the HRM is awesome for gym rats and people that do a lot of high intensity cardio, it helps to stay in the…

mabbzie is awesome and you should really take her advice!! and onethrone is a smart cookie! to be perfectly honest, when you are desperate for a change -- you do anything that you can!! convince her of the benefits of a nutritionist -- I know once I started going to mine, LOTS of things changed. it was no longer he-said…

1ST -- every body is completely different in what it needs to lose/maintain/gain. 2ND - you probably aren't in a deficit. you're either not burning as much as you think you are, or your eating more than you think that you are. 3RD - you probably aren't paying enough or any attention to your macros. its not just about…

feel free to add me if you'd like :)

^this! example? when I was 230 I wore a tight size 16 when I was 200 I wore a comfortable 16 now at a little over 180 I wear a loose 12. every body is different :)

how many 14 yo do I know that have full beards... none.
-
^agree. especially since if this was true, I should be eating 1000-1200 calories a day...

from what my nutritionist and doctor have explained to me, more than 35% coming from protein regularly can be harmful to your kidneys overtime regardless of if you have experienced kidney problems. They compared it to alcohol and the liver. Once in a while will not cause as many (if any) harm to your liver as if you…

I count everything that I drink that is not soda. Herbal Teas, Coffee, and good ol' water. If I used crystal light, i'd log that as water too Granted, I usually drink anywhere from 100-120 oz of water a day, but in all honesty -- I think it is just personal preference.

depends on your goals -- and its different for every body :) personally, I like to get reduced fat because fat is one of the things that I pay attention too rule of thumb, though? if something is taken away (low/no fat, low/no sugar) -- something else is always added.

I want to know what BMI scale you are looking at that places 120 at 4'9" -- i'm 4'11" and every one that I've ever seen puts me with a "healthy" range of 95-120. you are also taking the thought that each person is built the exact same way -- so clearly there is no sense in even attempting to disagree with you -- since you…
-
my bad -- between 95 and 120, not 110 also, how do you know what body fat I was -- my doctors and specialists would have definitely disagreed with you.
-
you look awesome! what a great idea to wear the same thing!!!

beautiful eyes!!

complete horse****. according to BMI I am "morbidly obese". do I look morbidly obese to you?? I would agree that I am overweight. but no way that I am in the category that BMI puts me in! in addition, BMI says that I am supposed to be between 95-110lbs. At my smallest (120) I had 10% body fat -- which is very underweight!…

not even close. my ideal body is flat tummy, muscular arms/legs, and noticeable abs. the men that I am (and always have been) attracted to have (1) amazing shoulders, (2) muscles that aren't pronounced (think, football player that hasn't played in a couple years), and (3) a tummy!
-
no idea -- though I have heard that if you eliminate a certain type of food from your diet (meat, fruit, gluten...) for a period of time, when you reintroduce it you'll get sick because your body will stop producing the enzymes necessary to break down that food.

3 months from now I would like to be down to 175 :) down 10lbs a year from now i'd like to be 10lbs away from my goal weight! at 140!
-
personally, I prefer to wear thongs for everything -- they are the most comfortable for me and give me the feeling that i'm not wearing anything while still protecting my lady business. its all preference though, I know girls that wear bike shorts as underwear to workout, and ones that wear "granny panties" go with what…

I had this same issue! Sometimes, I still do. Do what you feel -- if you are hungry, then eat! If not, don't worry about it. I know my methods aren't what most people would agree with -- but eating a bunch of junk just to meet your goal isn't good either. a few things that I did to help? eat a larger breakfast, bring…

way to go! keep up the great work!

I weigh every day to keep myself accountable -- there isn't anything wrong with weighing yourself more than once a week :) it's all personal preference! to address your question -- I think that you are just fine. you're changing up your routine -- your body was simply getting used to the routine that you had put it in, now…
-
I don't like to use them unless they fit into my macros... but to each his own :)
-
^this! it's impossible to gain 15lbs and only have slipped "a little" -- first step in losing the weight again -- be honest with yourself. otherwise, it will never happen. also, get rid of the word diet! in order to keep it off, you have to have an entire lifestyle CHANGE. not a diet that you follow for a few months and…

amazing work!!!
