It's so funny that you wrote this. I clear out the "clutter" in my house about once every 6 months. I'm not one of those girls who have collectibles and things just sitting around the house. In my opinion, it's just more stuff to dust and clean and that's no fun at all. And it does make me feel like I'm in control. I could…

I don't know for sure, but I think that you are definitely onto something there. I do clean mine, but I'm just weird like that. I clean everything - I'm a little OCD like that. It probably wouldn't hurt if you bought some of those little alcohol wipes and just wiped them down after each use. I do this and I haven't had any…

I'm with her ^. Mine is public to my friends, but not to everyone. I like it because I get great ideas from other people. And I'd like to think they get a few from me, as well. And I find I'm more honest if others are looking - and I get great feedback if I've had a bad day. :)

Oh, wow! Thank you for this! I love to read and just never imagined they had a site like this online (I don't know why....they have everything else online! lol) This is awesome! :flowerforyou:

Sodium is a really easy one for me. I make 90% of my food at home and that way I can control how much salt is actually in it. The rest is a little harder for me, and I'm over on my fats more than I would like a lot of the time. I tend to be a little lower on the protein, as well. It's a balancing-act, for sure!

What she said! ^

I've found myself, if not actually craving, eating eggs. I hate eggs. But, I've made a few omelettes and have decided that if I dress them up a little they're quite good. :)

My current favorite is Jif creamy peanut butter and a spoon! But, I have to be careful these days....I could seriously eat the whole jar when I get started. I do love wheat thins with hummus baby carrots raisins apples This list tends to change because I bore easily.

Be sure to set another place, okay? I'll be there for dinner.....every night!

Auburn Tigers (War Eagle! - Have to say it - it's been a half-century, for goodness sake! ) and the Broncos!

I'm right there with you! I'm 42, joined MFP right after Christmas, and I realized when I was stretching that.....oh, good grief! LOL! I can barely bend over, let alone STRETCH! :D When did this HAPPEN? :noway:

I'm struggling with this today, as well. You're going to do this! And I understand completely with this TOM: This month is awful! I haven't lost an ounce all week, my stomach is bloated and painful, and I want to eat a whole jar of peanut butter. Somehow, I've managed to stick to cheerios for breakfast and baked chicken…

I don't like chocolate mixed with anything.....peanut butter, caramel, marshmallow.....yuck. But, a big fat hershey bar is amazing. And I did manage to stand in front of it at the store for 5 minutes in line today and not grab it. We should all be proud of these little victories. I'm with hmsmike....I want this more!

Yay for you! That's an awesome victory!

Oh, thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I love French Onion Soup, but I've never been able to make it on my own. And it always has so many calories in it. I'm making some this weekend! :flowerforyou:

I like it! This one ^ pretty much says it all. My favorite quote isn't inspirational, really. It's just my favorite quote: "Any book that helps a child to form a habit of reading, to make reading one of his deep and continuing needs, is good for him.' ~ Maya Angelou My son actually uses this one me when I say something…

Doesn't look like you did anything wrong. Hello! And welcome!
-
Welcome, Blue! You're going to love this!

Today, instead of sitting on my behind on the couch all day, like I usually would do on a Saturday, I stayed busy. I painted my dining room and my kitchen, which is a serious workout! I was productive and burned calories! And I didn't snack all day long which is a huge victory for me - I just kept busy!
-
Hello and welcome! And quit hoping....just do it. It's hard sometimes. It sucks on occasion. But, if you want it, you can do it. Just get up every single day and DO IT! And if you need a friend to push you along, feel free to add me! :flowerforyou:

I log mine as circuit training, as well.

I've got tons of music: Green Day, Katy Perry, AC/DC, Poison, Adam Lambert, Eminem.....the list goes on and on. My new current favorite is F*** You by Cee-lo. It just cracks me up and I catch myself singing and laughing while I'm on the treadmill.

Have you used a tape measure and actually measured your body yet? Sometimes it helps, when the scale doesn't move, to measure your body. Inches can still be going away, no matter what the weight does. And it can make you feel better to say "No, the scale didn't move, but I lost "x" inches!"

That's awesome! One day your kids are going to be asking for broccoli! I have a 14-year-old son who loves it and doesn't want cheese or butter on it - just salt and pepper. It's awesome! Good for you!
-
I'm so sorry he did that to you. Please don't let him stop you from doing what's good for you. You don't have to have a personal trainer - just go to the gym. Work out on the treadmills, take the classes, and take care of yourself. You're in it for a healthier you - he's in there to make money! But, remember this as well:…
-
I do it every other day. But, I try to hit the treadmill or something on the off days from the shred. But, that's just me.

It took me a couple of weeks before I didn't actually have hunger pangs all the time. I was starving! lol! Hang in there, it will get easier - pretty soon, smaller portions will fill you up and you'll be fine. Don't forget your water - it helps with the hunger, as well. Oh, and a tip: I logged all my food in right before I…

First of all, quit putting yourself down! You went in there and did something! You get on here every day and log your calories and exercise! You are AMAZING! And - seriously?!? You did 50 FREAKIN' MINUTES OF ZUMBA in your first class???? :noway: I made it through about 15 before I had to stop and take a breath! I'm…

You've probably seen C25K, as well. It's the Couch to 5K running program for beginners. You can google it. :)

You look AMAZING!
