I would try to keep my calories at AT LEAST 1200, if I were you. Your body needs fuel to burn fat and you might not be getting quite enough. Try it for just a little bit and see if it works for you. Everyone is different, but I eat ALL of my exercise calories (sometimes a little more).

Ummm....rude! I'm one of the "newbies" your talking about (lol!), but that guy was just ridiculous. You can't have your own special machine. Run on the 1st available and be considerate of others. Geez....

That's a great idea! Chips! Yum.....
-
Great, Dinger! You tell me AFTER I eat it?!? LMAO!
-
It didn't cost too much, but my budget says I'm not allowed to buy another one right now. :) But, thanks for the tip - it was the only one in the store, and I never thought about grams. The conversion website DrBorkBork gave me will just have to do for now. It worked, so I'll just be inconvenienced until I decide to buy a…

When I started doing this almost 2 weeks ago, I learned that lesson the hard way too! Now, I go to the computer and log my food in first. When the calories, fat, protein, carbs, etc pop up, I adjust if need be and THEN make my food. It makes it a lot easier to do. Guessing doesn't work - I really had no idea how much I ate…

Thank you!!!

When I grow up I want to be just like you! LOL! CONGRATULATIONS! You must feel amazing to have accomplished something not many others do! Just.......WOW!!!

Love at first sight? No. Soul mates? Absolutely. I don't know if you always manage to meet yours, but I believe everyone has one.
-
Oh, girl. I have no idea. I have one, too, but I usually cook things like cornbread dressing and lasagna. LOL I love that thing, though! Have fun cooking healthy in it! If they put some good ones up here for you, I might just steal some! :)

Love, love, LOVE this! Too funny!

I don't eat sweets normally anyway, so it's not much of an issue with me. if I do want something sweet, I'll grab a bottle of water and put a crystal light on the go pack (pink lemonade) in it - 10 calories and it's sweet lemonade. Good luck! You'll do great! :)
-
No, not at all. I'm sorry. :(
-
Aw....we've all done it. I ate a small cheeseburger from McDonald's the other day. You know the one - the itsy bitsy one the kids get in a happy meal. 300 calories! Really?! lol
-
I get it, too. I never look anyone in the eye and I keep to myself. I have always been really shy around people I don't know. I usually just walk in there with my headphones already on, get on a treadmill, look at my feet, and start walking or running. If I pay attention to my feet, I don't have to make eye contact with…

Get a tape measure - the scale numbers aren't the ones that you should be looking at. The tape measure numbers are. You're doing fine! If you can see a difference in your tummy, it's an inches difference and I'd take that over a scale difference all day long!

Hello and Welcome! And from a true SEC fan (MY team plays Monday night against some ducks! haha), Congrats on the win last night. I watched that game - hooo.....! LOL
-
I started this a day or two before New Year's. I'm doing much better, but there are still days when I'm just hungry. All day. Everyone else is right....high fiber, high protein, lots (and lots and lots) of water. It's getting better for me. I didn't realize how much I actually consumed in a single day (probably 3,000-4,000…

Hello. My name is Carol. And I'm an addict. Diet Coke is my drug of choice and I drink a LOT more than I should. I've managed to cut down from 3 or 4 of the 44 oz. fountain drinks a day to only 1. But, that one.....??? I savor every single drop of it. LOL!!! Welcome! You'll do great - I just know it. :flowerforyou:

You go ahead and rant. Sometimes we need to do that. As long as it doesn't keep you from doing what you need to do, a good rant will always make you feel better. You have to let go of the "yuck" feelings at some point, right?

I was a 3/4 - and now I'm a 9/10 - 11/12 (depending on how it's made)....bleh...

Nice! I just left the fridge without any food (yay, me) after 5 minutes of just looking inside it. lol I think I'm going to take my crazy self to bed, as well! :grumble:

That's exactly what I was going to say. Either ask for a "half" order, or order the whole thing and take the remainder back home for another time. I usually go completely overboard in a Mexican restaurant. It's ridiculous. :)

OMG! Before I started logging in to MFP, I'd buy a bag of these and eat on it all day long. And this was 2 or 3 days a week. I was totally addicted. I don't even walk down the aisle that holds them in the store anymore. :noway:
-
I had heard that you should definitely watch the salads when you order out - but seriously?!? :noway: If I'm going to put that many calories, and that much fat and sodium in my body, "Can I have a Whopper, please?" Geez.....! At least I'd enjoy it more.
-
Where's that "like" button when you really need it?!? Congratulations!
-
Friend request sent. I'm a cheerleader by nature, but I'll tell you the truth, too.
-
There are differing opinions on this, but I almost always eat all of mine. I try to keep my calories at the recommended 1,200 per day for me - I don't think it's healthy for me to go much lower than that. Your body needs fuel to burn fat and build lean muscle mass. JMO.
-
hahahaha! Love those quarter pounders, too!
-
Keep in mind that while you ate more than you were alloted according to the goals you set, you burned 943 extra ones. I would eat more - but that's just me. Since you burned those, you only really gained 1,033 calories for the whole day. I'd keep it at a "net "of 1700 calories a day (or close to it), which is what it says…
