I'm similar. My 6 year old son was recently diagnosed with aspergers and I had to admit I an relate to everything that was being said to diagnose him. Far from me to judge but understanding him helps me understand myself. Not sure it relates to you but the social awkwardness side sounded familiar that's all.

Nope this hasn't reached me yet I'm still scoffing 😂

We've all been there. 8lbs is a decent loss. Don't give up and keep doing what you're doing. I wouldn't advise cutting calories maybe try the 5:2 to mix things up or increase your cardio for 2/3 weeks. Ensure your logging is tight too.

Can I also add I haven't poo'd in 2.5 days!
-
Thank you. The scales I use in my gym are to the pound not like 251.6 or whatever it's just 252 or 253. My net this week, without checking, is something like 1900, 2000, 1750, 1800 and today 1850 with 5 miles walked everyday on the treadmill. Also very little sodium and 2 litres of water daily. The scales have read 254,…

It isn't WW that works it's eating less than you burn.

Interesting. As I posted in my thread I'm a 252lb man eating 1930 calories per day, in fact over the past 4 days they've been 1730, 1900, 2000 and 1850 net and my weight has stayed the same at 252 for 5 days now. I've taken on board everything that was said in that thread but this is also interesting.

You guys really are great thanks for the responses. I'll watch the video above shortly.
-
Indeed lucky you I stopped for 3 years and have gained 50lbs. Nonetheless let's keep logging and losing together.
-
So how the hell is anyone drinking that expected to lose weight?? It's a losing battle! The body really is very complex.
-
2 litres of water weighs 4.4lbs? No way?!
-
Thank you. I'm very appreciative of your words. I know I'll get to my target and don't think daily weighing is something I'll be continuing with!
-
So that could be happening here. Again guys don't hate on me lol but after 2 consecutive days of eating 1800 I weighed in this morning at 254. Put on a pound I don't think do. Like I've said I'm not concerned just curious. What Rochelle says sounds interesting as for 2 years I've literally ate what I've wanted and as I…

Wow. I'm currently 252. I couldn't imagine eating so little every day. Just eating 800 when trying the 5:2 is enough for me twice a week. Why did you reduce SO drastic if you don't mind me asking?
-
Hi snemberton I know what you mean. I can notice a small change in my face and neck and also clothes are slightly better fitted after thus initial 8lb drop. I know I'll probably weigh myself on Sunday or Monday and I'll have dropped 2 or 3lbs it's all just very interesting.
-
Strange also that just coming out of MFP for a second my TDEE differs on different sites from 2600-2800. 34 male 5'10 252lbs light exercise. Very strange why there's be a 250 difference.
-
I'm back at 252. Twice before I've got down to 200/210 from around the 250 mark and thought 'right I've lost the weight I don't need MFP anymore.' We'll here I am again 3rd time lucky and I intend to count once I'm at maintenance this time.
-
Thanks to all. I know I'm eating at my required deficit and walking 3 miles per day and drinking 2 litres of water so I'm sure come Monday it'll be fine. Very interesting though weighing yourself daily to see these fluctuations.
-
Hiya I'm certainly not worried just curious. Salt levels are low plus I'm drinking 2 litres of water daily. I'm.walking 3 miles on a treadmill. Sleeping well and toilet is daily. Very confusing.
-
Just to add I weigh myself each morning before work in my local gym using the same machine, shoes off and having eaten or drunk nothing for around 10 hours.
-
2 lbs per week reduced it to 1890 per day. Don't think I could cope with that.
-
Does 2200 sound too low for me if I change it to 1.5 lbs per week?
-
No I mean the only liquid I'm drinking is milk other than water so no alcohol etc although I have had one treat in the form of a can of coke in the past fortnight. My pee is normally darker than it should be but I thought it'd be getting lighter. Maybe it's my body flushing away all the crap I've consumed over the past 3…

A litre a day? On a scale of 1-10 maybe a 6/7? I will bring it up with my surgeon in our follow up chat in September too.
-
I'm from London too so I know what you mean! For me it was buying my 4th pair of trousers in about a year having outgrown the previous 3. I dropped 50lbs but am back up 30 after not logging for 18 months but back now.
-
I've only recently started logging on here after a lengthy lay off but I'll be weighing myself monthly. It's all about preference but don't get obsessed by the scales just keep doing your thing!
-
Thank you very much. Without doubt the hardest battle of my life but now the excuses must stop. Only I can shed these 50lbs no one else.
-
Thank you very much. My appetite is so little right now that I'm nowhere near my daily allowance but I'm building it up after the surgery. Thanks for all your kind comments x

Don't cut out 'bad food' totally. Allow it to fit into your calories where necessary. Remember it's not the end of the world if you go over by say 300 calories one day if you can average it out over the next 2/3 days even over the week. I found the first 2 weeks were very difficult. Just take it one day at a time, don't…
