I went to over 1100 days and then could not log in at my remote Alaska camp. 🏕️

Good job! It's hard seeing a slow loss sometimes but you are obviously also adding muscle, which is going to make total weight loss look slow. But boy does it ever show how much smaller that muscle makes you. Never quit, you are on the right track! :)

Spartan race this year: I'll be 66 when I race - registered and training for it. Never in a million years would I have even considered such a thing just a few years ago. :)

Never thought I'd go from needing the elevator to training to run the Spartan later this year :) Back at the start some years ago I could not, literally could not walk up one flight of stairs to my office; had to ride the elevator. This year I did a startling thing; never imagined I could bring myself to do it but I have…

Box jumps. I weight train and am working on agility - box jumps just terrify me and I'm working on adding height. I'm 65 yrs old.

That's great! I did it (a huge achievement) for my 60th. I should never have stopped that portion of my workout because here I am 5 years later and still trying to get back there. Goals :)

I’m with you. I’ve lost 110 # and wrk hard every day around home plus my gym days. Goal is train for and complete a Spartan race in 2021...I will be 66. Highly motivated to gain strength and balance,

Spartan Race in Florida - it was cancelled due to covid this year, but that's just more time for me to prepare. I'll turn 66 just before race week.

My absolute favorite was when I went to lunch alone (pre-covid)... I asked the fit little waitress what she recommended and she said, "Well, for tiny people LIKE US, I say go for the fresh halibut..." LIKE US....wow did that make my day (I've lost 110 pounds and work out several times a week). <3

65 years old, lost 110# since I started here in 2013 - training for a Spartan run next year. I don't want to slow down as I age; hope to keep going and keep improving. 70 minute warm-up including body weight work, overhead carries, farmer carries, rolling, stretching, running. 60 minute weight-training session with a…

Eagle River, Alaska - plan to run my first race this summer in the Boulder, CO area.

Hebrews 12:1 has been my reminder to get the weight off and to get fit. Down over 100# now and I'm more in shape than I've been since I was 20 (I turn 60 in a few weeks). This scripture of course is about our spiritual growth, but it uses a physical challenge to illustrate. Bless you!!! "Wherefore seeing we also are…

Well, it looks like I've found the place to be! It's been fun getting to 'know' you ladies by reading the older posts here and I'd love to join in. I am 59 now, lost 120 pounds in 2013-14, and am just totally stuck on that last 30 lb to goal. I do much better on low carb/high protein and don't track fat grams but do count…

Senior year I was 108, now (age 59) I'm 145 and working to get to 115-120.

My wrists are pretty sensitive..try using a small weight/dumb-bell to hold as you perform the push-up. That helps me greatly so I can concentrate on the pushup and not my poor wrists. My brother had carpel tunnel surgery and does his pushups on his fists, so that may work for you too. An alternate to working from knees or…

Looks like a good plan and something I want to do. I'm in! :)

Hello all, I want to jump in here! I am 59 and just returned from my very first trip to Hawaii, which was terrific, but I am really happy I managed to lose almost 5# in the 2 weeks there! So, here are my October goals: lose 7-8 lb by month-end by drinking all my daily water, keeping calories at 1000 per doctor, keep carbs…

I'm 58 years old and have lost about 120 lb in the past year. I am on synthroid, so have a slow metabolism to boot - what I did, besides get the right mindset that I was going to finally FINALLY conquer this thing (and yes I have lost and gained hundreds of pounds over the years), is I started on low cal, low glycemic,…

Alaska - visit family on Kodiak Island, the Kenai, the Matanuska Valley, and North Pole regularly. I live in the big town, Anchorage, with more wildlife than you can shake a fireweed at. Summer is ending, we will have snow on the mountains soon so I'm getting in all the snow-free runs I can before I change over to skis.…

Some good advise already given. Just want to add that I work with a trainer at the gym who is also certified physical therapist. I have weak knees and squats have always been an issue, even now after losing so much weight. She has me doing squats correctly now by holding a light-weight yoga block between my knees. Forces…

Hello and I have had much the same experience as you, I'd get to a certain point after months of work (hard work) and just when it started being noticed I was losing, bam I'd wreck it all. I do believe, at least for me, that I figured it out after too many times to dwell on! For me it was being noticed when I was so used…
