Wow.. One of the best replies I have seen in a while. Great job, this could help a lot of people..

So if it sounds correct you want to drop about 8 lbs in just over one week (eight days). That is a huge stretch. The only way possible to do this is to lose water weight. If you really feel like you need to do this my recommendation would be to cut back on Carbs as much as possible for this week. When you first cut carbs…

I actually find that "eathing clean" is a good way to follow a "calories in calories out" goal. If I wasn't eating clean and instead had fast food and other "junk", I don't know how I would be able to hit a in/out goal. To me eating clean means grabing a piece of fruit instead of a candy bar, if we do go to McDonalds with…

I log as I go. I try and log it immediatly after I eat it. The only time I might prelog is when I don't know what the numbers are going to be on something I am going to eat so will look it up and log it before.

I'll let you know next Monday, I plan to attend my first session Monday evening. There is a class immediatly following BodyPump that I plan on giving a try. I've been doing BodyPump for about 1 1/2 months now and plan to switch to Monday evenings so I can give this class a try immediatly after. Although I hate going to…

Sounds great and could be something for our teenage swimmer to have for a snake before practice..

Looking fantastic... Best wishes on the family goal.

I think part of it is motivation. When you are losing weight you have a definite and defined goal you are striving for so the motivation to always log the food and work to get "there" is always present. Once you are maintaining it becomes just a job to log the food with no end in site so the motivation seems to drop off.…

If you think there is a chance you will make the recipe again or have the mail again I would try and enter the food. As mentioned the tool is only as useful as the information is good. Having said that I just got back from a restaurant tonight where the nutrition information wasn't provided. So in this case I had to…

A fantastic story and a great journey. Congrats and well done...

This is actually exactly why I weigh myself every day. If I only weighed myself once a week and saw that I had a gain or no change I would feel worse then seeing it in one day. By weighing daily I can then eventually see the daily fluctuations in weight and not get concerned. Once you see it happen a few times and see it…

Most definitely noticeable. Congrats on your accomplishment.

I definitely think it is doable. Four months is 16 weeks so of you target one pound a week that is 16 pounds in four months. You will have to be honest with your intake and cardio. Best of luck to you, you can do it with some hard work.

What is his bf% currently? He looks pretty healthy the way he is. He will probably need to look into more bodybuilding specifics to cut more. A good site with a lot of common sense info is: https://www.burnthefatinnercircle.com .

Sometimes just having a bottle of water to sip on can keep the boredom munchies at bay.

I suspect they are using the inflated numbers given by MFP.

Yes caffeine is a diuretic, but is its effect will be based on the amount consumed. Not until you get 300-500 mg/day will you really notice it.. http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/caffeinated-drinks/AN01661 The reason to drink water is to stay hydrated. The hydrating effect of green tea is well above the diuretic effect it…

Some exercise is often times the best thing for soreness. I think you will find after some light warmups that your sore/stiffness will be greatly reduced. Instead of doing nothing try to get a good warmup in and then some light excersice. Alternate this with a heavier workout for a couple of weeks and the soreness will go…

Moderation, Moderation, Moderation. A couple of thoughts around Super Bowl. If it is a party people usually don't mind guests bringing something to share, bring along something healthy to snack on. You would probably be surprised to see that it is what goes pretty quickly. Also always have some water that you can sip on,…

Maybe find a comparison picture and have a before/after shot posted somewhere so you can easily see and remind yourself how far you really have come.

Any scale other then the good old fashioned ones with the slider weights and I end up weighing myself two or three times. I'll get off and on two times and if the weight is the same on the digitial I'll use it. If it is different will do it two more times. Mine is a fairly old digital scale. I am considering purchasing a…

Not necessarily eat less, but eat the correct amount of healthy food based on your BMR/TDEE goals.
-
Healthy eating, lifestyle, exercise and patience. There is absolutely nothing magical other then good old fashioned hard work.

Couple of just quick thoughts.. How are you tracking your calorie burn from your cardio workout? How accurate do you think your daily tracking is? Trying to be accurate when entering portion size can be very difficult. Also MFP seems to over calculate alot of the cardio from what I have seen.

Nutrition can be looked at as a hobby to some and as such find it very interesting and want to learn more. If you look at how much time some spend fishing, reading about fishing or pick any other interesting hobby you can spend a lot of time on it. In fact when it comes to nutrition some people spend there entire careers…
