My recommendation would be to choose what you want to do and be consistant. I think consistancy what you are looking for. I have just had a failure on both 95 and 100 lbs. Hit them both on the second time. I am hoping to get up to 115 before I have to deload but will have to see. Listen to how your body feels. Also rest day does not equal laying in bed all day. A rest day may be going for a 30 minute walk instead of a regular run it could be a nice and easy bike ride, etc.. If your body is feeling run down take a break from you regular exercise and do something light.

People may not like my answer but for me to "eat clean" means: Eating in such a way that you hit your food / nutritonal goals.
