Personally I would get my physical health and see how you feel. If you are hungry eat at maintenance to let yourself heal. Focus on good and healthy meal choices.

With the Windows Phone mobile app I have been logging as soon as I eat something. Makes me think about everything before you eat it. Had two peanut M&M's the other day and logged them as soon as they were gone.

I definitly suggest the same time every day. How often I would say is personal preference. Most of the things I have read might suggest weekly. However, personnaly, I like to weigh myself daily.
