I only drink plain water. I can't stand carbonation or the fake sweet taste of soda. I get my taste fix from food. I also don't like artificial sweeteners to put in my water either. If I can't pronounce the ingredients I don't use it. A little fruit in the water is a good idea though!

I very roughly pay attention to my macros. I tend to lean towards higher fat intake than I should but I always stay within my allotted calories. It has worked well so far with me losing over 30lbs since February. I've dropped 10% body fat and gained a considerable amount of muscle, so what I'm doing works for me.

It bothers me when people say you don't need to exercise to lose weight. Why are you trying to lose weight? To get healthy most likely. A protein shake will make a world of difference. I'm at the gym very regularly and when I don't have my protein I get so sore for several days. With the protein and I have no pain.

In the past three weeks of losing weight (therefore eating in a calorie deficit) I have lost five pounds of fat but gained 1lb of muscle. Yes you can lose weight and still gain muscle. You have to fuel your body properly but it is possible.
