I've done both and (in my opinion) RI30 is harder. They're both good programmes but even JM says to do RI30 rather than 30DS herself.

No - I have something verging on an irrational fear of them, just the thought of them makes my finger tips itch. I really wish I did like them, I'm always struggling to find smoothie recipes that don't contain them,

Fantastic job, well done! :flowerforyou:

As much as I love Christmas food (and I do LOVE Christmas food!), I'm determined not to over-indulge and undo all the hard work I've put in this year. I also really want to keep up with my workouts - I exercise at home but it's still hard getting yourself out of bed in the morning when it's cold and dark!
-
I just started week 11, good luck!

I also thing both have their benefits - I lost 25lbs on WW about 3 years ago (over 5 or 6 months) and kept it off as I had retrained my brain around what I was eating. I now use MFP - not because I need to lose a lot of weight but because it helps me control my calorie intake and monitor my exercise. I've seend people have…

Everybody has to start somewhere, there's no need to mock people.

Porridge with almond butter and strawberries, or almond butter on a wholemeal bagel.
-
Body Revolution is great!
-
I add apple slices and cinnamon for a dessert.

Pringles as well, or any kind of crisps/potato chips. Fatal.

BR is in 3 phases which are 4 weeks each. For each phase you have 4 toning/strength workouts and 1 cardio workout for each phase. You do workouts 1 and 2, then the cardio then repeat them all so you workout 6 days a week. You then move onto workouts 3 and 4 after 2 weeks. After 4 weeks you move to phase 2 which is the same…

I don't have an issue with it, as I said in my original post I was curious to explain it.

Thanks all. I really am trying not to get hung up on what the scales say but it was confusing me more than anything! I'm not really a newbie to exercise - I've been doing Jillian's workouts for about 3 years however Body Revolution is the one that I've really noticed a difference with. It's a mix of strength workouts (with…

I got rid of mine so I couldn't think "I've got a bigger size in the wardrobe" and use it as an excuse to indulge.

Bungee jump from 170 feet, and JM's Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism (serioulsy).
-
I'm just coming to the end of Phase 2, I haven't lost a huge amount when I get on the scales but I'm definitley smaller - I've dropped a dress size top and bottom and I'll have to go out and buy new workout gear soon because I keep losing my trousers! It's a great programme and half an hour a day (for me) is really…

I do push-ups (regular ones) and I'm a girl, so are they girl push-ups?!
-
Great job, well done!

I've had the "You're wasting away!" a few times recently; I'm 5' 2" and 130 pounds and working on burning fat and building muscle and d'you know what? They ain't seen nothing yet.
-
Thanks all! I struggle to see changes in myself so it gives me a real boost when others see it. I do find it's the people who you don't see all the time who are the first to mention it rather than people who see you every day.

I'm half way through (just started week 7) so I'll be ready for another round by January!
-
Burpees. They're the spawn of Satan.
-
I burned about 250 calories for the cardio workout and slightly less for the conditioning workouts; I use a HRM so I know it was accurate for me.
-
I start Phase 2 tomorrow, I'm definitely seeing a difference in my size.
-
I don't have a weight-loss goal as such but my goal is to finish Jillian Michaels' Body Revolution by Christmas. I start the 2nd month tomorrow so as long as nothing comes along that messes up my regular workouts, I should make it! My aim is to build muscle and reduce fat. Given how much I love Christmas food I'll probably…

I'm just coming to the end of week 4. I've got quite a few of her DVDs so I had an idea of what to expect! I'm not following the meal plan but my own diet isn't far off what she recommends.
-
I don't like PB (I know...!) but I LOVE almond butter! I eat it most days but no more than a teaspoon due to the calories.
-
Anyone?

I've just started week 3 and can honestly say I'm noticing a difference already! I've been doing her workouts for a while and this programme is great - so far!
