Sounds fab! I'm in Columbus as well and would love to know the goings on! I am a member at Columbus Fit but haven't been in a couple of months due to work, family illness, death, and then losing my job. But I am ready to start training for bike season!!

I eat enough back so that my net is at least 1200 per day. Less than that is not healthy for me. When I drop below 1200 my weight loss stalls. So if I do a 1000 calorie workout I need to eat at least 2200 so that my net is still 1200.

I don't run (post-knee surgery) but I do hike. Before surgery I would get winded on one climb that is about 3/4 mile and a 400' incline. After surgery I started working out at the gym and doing cardio, lifting weights, etc. and now I can climb it without having to stop for air and feeling like my heart is exploding. I did…

I would have moved if I had that much more to go...but I usually go during the dead part of the day. Maybe switch the time to when it's less busy? 11a-2p is slow around my gym. If you asked the staff I'm sure they'd tell you the slow time. :)

I get a minimum of 20g of fiber a day and I end up going 2-3 times a day! No problems here!! Good luck...I hope everything comes out ok. :)

Never even heard of carb cycling...now you've given me something to google. :)

I had arthritis in my mid 20s and now that I'm 33 it seems to get a little worse every winter when the temperature changes outside instead of just overuse making it flare up. I got some "Joint Juice" at the store I'm going to try because the last 4-5 days have been rough!! Hope you feel better soon. :)

Of course! It took some time to get up to that especially after knee surgery and being in a cast for 4 weeks! I started out on the arc trainer doing 5 minutes at a time...and last time I cheated and ate a bunch of cheese puffs I did an hour!!

I got a heart rate monitor and for example today my HRM says 914 calories were burned during my workout but MFP says 901. Typically they're within 100 of each other so I don't worry about it.

I got one and the healthier I've gotten the lower my resting HR has become. For example, before starting cardio I was in the 95-110 while resting...after about 4 weeks of regularly doing cardio I'm now in the 60-70 range resting. I love my watch. :)

I stopped using sugar and started using honey to sweeten since it's more natural and less processed. Sugar is empty calories. Same thing with flour - found out I was gluten intollerant - and when I cut out gluten (wheat, barley, rye, oats) I started having more energy and feeling better. Flour has no nutritional value by…

800 calories a day puts your body into "starvation mode"...so when it does finally get food (minimum calories per day should be 1200) it is likely to hold onto them. Also you have to consider undigested food still working through your system since the average meal takes 3 days to exit. Start eating more and quit trying to…

I have my CCW permit and carry a Beretta PX4 Storm 9mm. I have a belt holster with a secure latch - like the police wear - to keep it from falling out when I'm out in the woods. I also carry pepper spray around my neck for the stray dog or bobcat because I don't want to shoot anything unless it's a last option and my life…
