Yep, you're probably right. Maybe I'll try looking up "wheat berries." Thanks for the tip.

Hi! I've been doing this since December 27, and I still weigh EVERYTHING!!!!!! I mean, everything!!!!!! For me, I will probably always weigh and measure things because I don't want to find myself "cheating" and adding a little dash here and a few drops there until I'm back where I began. Good Job so far and stay strong!

Skinny Cow. I've never heard of Arctic Zero.....may have to try to find that! :)

I started out w/a Sportline wrist watch style (where you have to put your finger on the button and hold it to get your heart rate). I kept hearing the only accurate HRMs are ones w/chest straps, so I bought the Polar FT7 for $109. It's a lot of money, but SO worth it. The watch style was WAY overestimating my calorie burn…

Thank you for this!!!!! You said everything I've always thought about weight loss, but figured I was wrong because almost everone has "that number" on the scale they want to get to. "That number" may never be hit, BUT the body you have at a higher number is the one God gave you and it's healthy. :) Your post is a mindset…

I've wondered about this as well.........but nope, calories do not roll over. If you have exercise calories left over from the week and you eat them over the course of 2 days, you're still going to go over calories on those 2 days. Also, I figure your metabolism won't be as high those two days since you didn't exercise and…

Yep, that's me too.......I've lost ALMOST 25 (24.4!) and I'm basically still the same size, just a little less "puffy" all over. :) My problem is that all my jeans are HUGE on me in the butt and thighs, but the waistband still cuts my circulation off. I'm definitely "circle shaped." I have almost NO waist right now. :( I'm…

:blushing: Yep, I noticed that I was "using" my food as well. Less in means a LOT less out. I was alarmed at first, but not anymore. I'm still only "going" every 3 days or so, but I love the fact that my body is actually using the fuel I put in it rather than "spitting out" the junk I used to put in it. :blushing:

I usually do the hard/messy way. I just made chili the other night and had a crockpot full. I then took a large bowl and a 1 cup measuring cup and dipped into the extra bowl until the crockpot was empty. Ugh! BUT IT WORKED! I just decided I wanted a serving to be 1 cup and there were 12 cups in my crockpot. I typed the…

I just started exercising and have 100 lbs to lose, so I'm no expert, but I just bought the Polar FT7 HRM and LOVE it.

Thanks for all the encouraging remarks!!!!!!! I've never found a site where the people are so encouraging and help each other through the sticky spots. It's really awesome! Thanks again......feeling better today. :flowerforyou:

Yep, a lot of years for me too. I even tried some of those fad diets and lost weight -- but of course each pound came back and brought friends! :( MFP is helping me do it the RIGHT way. Thanks for posting!

76 and still goin' strong! :)

Oh, mine too! I call it my "front-butt." :( I've only lost 19 lbs so far, but it's looking worse instead of better. I need HELP! It's just saggier now instead of plump and round. :(

I have no idea if this is legit or not, but I have the same thing in my ankles.....a friend told me they were veins that were more "plump" after increasing water intake. Said my veins were flat from dehydration and that's why they never showed up before. ??????

Stay Strong! I'll never get to my milestone if I can't get through the moment. --revised from Beth Moore

Soda finatic is putting it mildly! I would go through a 2L soda every day -- at least! That was my ONLY source of liquid. I drink NO water and almost no decaf tea. Also, aspartame gives me migraines, so the soda was regular -- yep, the full sugar kind. Be encouraged!!!! I've been off soda now for about 3 weeks and I don't…

Thanks so much everyone! Didn't know the Bodybugg was backed in nickel - Yikes!!!! I'm very sensitive to nickel, so I'll probably go w/the Polar. I also didn't know you had to pay a monthly fee to "use" Bodybugg's software. Thanks again for the advice!

I drink hot tea w/2 packets of Truvia, so it's really sweet. I also make iced tea w/Splenda so it's nice and sweet, but NO CALORIES! Oh, MAKE SURE THE TEA IS DECAF!!!!!

Hello! I live in Forest, VA. Just sent a friend request. :) Let's encourage each other to reach our goals!

Hi. I'm Kelly. I have 115 pounds to lose. I joined MFP on December 27 and have lost 17 lbs so far. You will LOVE this site and the motivation/ideas/incentives you will receive. :) Proud of you for making the choice to better yourself!

Hi! I'm a 38 year old Christian woman who wants to get healthy for my wonderful husband and 2 wonderful kids. :) I'm also looking for God-centered support and motivation during this journey. Will you add me as your friend?

aaahhhhh!!!!! You're right!!!!! I weighed in on Monday and my calories stayed the same.....but I just went into "Goals" and updated them (although I didn't change ANYTHING, just looked at them and clicked save), and it changed my calories I get to eat tomorrow to 40 LESS than today. Oh Boy! Thanks for the heads up!!!!!…

Girl, I am right there with you. I have a bad right knee and a bad left hip. They said I need surgery on my knee, but I dont' want to do that until I'm at a healthier weight and will be able to rehab it more appropriately. Everything, and I mean everything, hurts my knee....biking, swimming, elliptical, lunges, stairs,…
