I notice I’m moving more in between actual exercise. When I’m carrying extra weight my body doesn’t enjoy movement as much because it’s hard work, but at a lighter weight I’m naturally bouncy.

I’m hungry more often at the moment so I’m not trying that hard to stay within my calories, but I’m still losing so that’s fine.

First time in the 10 years I’ve been on MyFitnessPal that I’ve made a proper progress photo, because I’ve finally not just lost and gained the same 5kg...

Hiya! Well done for coming back! I’ve been using MyFitnessPal for 10 years now. I was in maintenance for most of the first 3 years, had a baby and I’ve been yoyoing for the last 7... until now when I’ve got rid of the husband who made me so stressed. I was really never in the right headspace to lose consistently,…

I had over 30lb to lose and I’ve lost about 20lb so far (sorry, I work in kg so I’m a bit vague!). I have 6kg (12lb or so?) to go, but I plan on going slowly, so I expect I’ll be reaching goal at the same time as some of you losing 1lb a week, and hopefully maintaining by the summer. Could I join the group please?

We had snow today so half my steps so far were building a snow dragon and having a snow ball fight with my boys. 😂

Having said I wouldn’t do it, I did, and it took off 200kcal, so I’ll be aiming for 300kcal deficit now. More background: the first time I used MyFitnessPal (10 years ago!) was the first time I became anaemic, so I am very wary of reducing calories too far. The 1200kcal plus exercise I was recommended was way off and my…

If I look in goals or settings it has automatically changed, there is no reset button or similar. Scrap that... I googled. Stupid system. I don’t think I’ll bother with that unless I stop losing. (Added context: I’ve always lost more weight than MyFitnessPal would predict.)
-
Does MyFitnessPal not do that automatically as your weight goes down? I feel like the initial calories per day have been going down gradually (I have it set to sedentary maintenance and let my FitBit add the extra calories).

I really liked the bingo games when I had a free month of FitBit Premium. They’re especially good because they’re tailored to your exercise level rather than being the same for everyone. I would find myself going out of my way to be the first to finish them. Problem right now is that lockdown means every step is…

Hi! I’ve done some Jillian Michaels before but I won’t do it unless there’s someone else around because it can make me feel quite faint. My boyfriend has suggested Insanity to me as he has it but I haven’t taken him up on that one yet. 😂 These days I’m mainly using Just Dance and Ring Fit. Both of them seem to do just…

I just wrote a whole post and lost it by pressing the wrong button. 🙈😂 Hope everyone’s doing well.

I weigh daily, and at some point I read that in countries where that is the advice (I remember they mentioned France and Japan) people tend to be better at keeping the weight off. If I stop weighing that’s when my weight can soar.

My ex was useless at Valentines and my boyfriend went to the petrol station to get me stuff last year... but... he got me so much for Xmas I feel like calling a truce and asking him to get me nothing for Valentines. He loves to make me happy and I love getting gifts, but I don’t feel like I can get him anything half as…

I’m 45 and I’m from England. I started using MyFitnessPal 10 years ago to lose the last few pounds slowly, and I kept the weight off until I got pregnant, and have yo-yoed for the 7 years since, never even getting close to my goal weight. This time is different though. I’m closer to my goal than I’ve been in 7 years. I…

I’m the closest I’ve been to my goal weight since my 7 year old was born, and I’m already starting to think about how to deal with maintenance (so I stop being a serial starter!). I’m not sure if visualising that time so often is good or bad for me. 🙈😂
