@Fyreside -- wow, I bet the sound of that coming down was incredible and a little unnerving! I get migraines once a month, and it's tough - I usually pack in Cokes, something salty like a whole pack of crackers and the requisite pint of coffee ice cream. Settled for decaf coffee and some creamer this time and a little…

Just been doing Yoga & smoothies. I’m kinda in a holding pattern without much going on.

Mischief managed, exercised today, finally getting back to it. Been feeling heaps better. Doing a 'Scary Fun Run' 5K on Sunday the 29th. Should be a lot of fun. Going to dress up as Runner 5 from 'Zombies, Run!' game.

Haven't seen it mentioned yet but salt / sodium / preservatives in fast food, heat and eat food, soups etc. can cause water retention. It's a problem for me anyway.

@ccrdragon - is CCR from the band CCR? Cause’ they’re amazing. Listened to them forever. It’s Saturday and raining buckets. I’ve felt good all day. My daughter whose 20 is home and her and I watched cooking shows most of the rainy day. I miss her a lot now that she’s grown and has a life. This next week I’m going…

Back from the city, had a bit of McD’s, a few fries and chicken strips, *sigh* — weird timing to everything today. 30 minutes of gentle Yoga this morning. Ocean trail wind gusts are supposed to be 65mph tomorrow - yikes, that will drive some ocean water into you...hmm, might be a good facial? ;-P The city was interesting…

Pretty good day, just on gentle exercise this week but enjoying the Yoga. Did okay on food, lots of fruit and veggies. I have to go into Portland tomorrow and instead of eating out, I’m packing a lunch. :D Hopefully I’ll get a chance to go by the bookstore and get in some fun too. This time of year with all the chocolate…

Did the morning run with my son this morning - it was dark out but we had a couple of spooky street lights. I need to do better on my food though for sure. I just eat too much. @meat513 — great job logging those steps Have a good night / day everyone — here is a photo of my weight loss buddy, he’s an adopted kitty named…

I went Pokemon hunting at the park, took over 3 gyms and Onix was spawning and caught about a dozen of them. The wind comes in from the ocean is pretty strong and cold, so was only out for an hour before I was pretty chilled and headed back. Walked about 3 miles today. My cold turned out to be Hay Fever - wow who knew.…

@ccrdragon -- I legit cannot do a pushup either. Did some aerobics this morning that went right into arm work and I'm like - just NO. I'll keep working on it ;-P Also, I started IF with my breakfast at 2 right out the gate, so definitely mucked it up. @Fyreside -- been a runner for 10 years and I always over stride. Coach…

@ccrdragon I really hope to do IF (intermittent fasting) in the future when / if I get my stomach straightened out. Last time it was a bit of a disaster because I drank way too much black coffee which upset my GI and also kept having hypoglycemic crashes. I don't think I was in a good health spot to give it a proper go, or…

Yesterday was a good day but over did it, and had to take things slower today. I feel like I’m making progress though. I’m learning some new moves from Daily Burn 365, the app I use. I can almost do a decent lunge and squat now. (almost). Last week I did something huge for me. I gave up my morning coffee. :D Not that you…

@corinasue1143 — that’s some good words of wisdom. How far out is your knee surgery? Is that why you’re cutting exercise a bit, the knees? @explodingmango — Congratulations!! Your rocked your run! Tremendous effort getting out there and going for it and putting it all on the line. Proud of you! @ everyone else — hey great…

Fyreside - wow man, way to go on the walking machine. That’s incredible resolve and spirit. *High Five* @explodingmango - sorry if my post offended, just trying to be supportive. ((hugs)) Today I was almost to the National Park with the husband before I realized that all the sniffing and sneezing and coughing wasn’t some…

@explodingmango — low vibe people — gotta look out for them. They try to bring you down and sink you especially when you’re doing GREAT, which YOU ARE DOING AWESOME. Everyone gets stuck with low-vibe people and get sniped. They always know your tender spots. But seriously - everyone puts up with someone in their life like…

I had fatigue and my well, frankly my kidneys aren't working too well right now possibly, but it's also my fault for eating stuff I can't digest or get rid of the waste (to confirm this however absolutely requires blood work). So I just need to do loads better - it's my responsibility to keep my body in good condition. I…

Put in some early morning time in the woods today! It’s really therapuetic. I’m facing up to some food issues I didn’t know I had and it has kinda pulled up stuff from the murkey depths that I guess I normally just left alone. I’ve been running for ten years and I guess I have felt a deep shame I a.) never lost weight and…

Yesterday was an off day for me but rallied today and got it in. Yoga > Hip Strength Exercises *takes about 2 minutes* > 30 situps > 20 or so minutes of kick boxing on Daily Burn *took a break to be sick for awhile because that’s just something that regularly occurs for me - ack! * > felt a little better went and ran 3…

I woke up two hours early yesterday and fit in the exercise :D I had my husband turn on the radio really loud when he got up so I would start rocking out and forget to go back to sleep. Well, the hack worked. I got in some light Yoga, Aerobics and a run. I could have done better on the food. My calves are super sore today.…

@explodingmango ((BIG HUGS)) This is the first year since I moved to the West Coast I had to cut out some of my running routes and places I would normally go because I just didn't feel safe and had to deal with harassment. Comfort foods -- well -- a nice hot cup of tea. Recommend today a fall blend with a little cream and…

I'm getting started again with FitBit - okay I admit it, I don't really know how to add friends on there or how it works exactly but it gave me this public URL if you want to buddy up and do step challenges together: http://fitbit.com/user/24HCM4 I use my Garmin, PShackles or Paula Shackles should bring me up. If you do…

Starting weight 166.2 (some of that is water, I really figure I'm about 164 - I had a tough trail run yesterday) Goal: My goal this week -- 2 miles a day or more, try to get in step goals, have mostly liquid meals during the day and most of that dairy see if that helps health symptoms. disclaimer -- I'll have wacky goals…
