Hey all, I've been thinking about it and I believe I'll leave MFP. There just isn't much happening on here. It's so dead. I think most people are probably on Facebook or something these days anyway or the big groups for low carb etc. I'm basically just here for this one group and I love you guys, but I know you're all busy…

Thanks everyone for helping me understand the Vert. I think I'm going to go for it. My goal isn't to be a speed demon, I just love the woods and being out there and adventuring. It sounded like a whole lot of fun. I will train diligently and look forward to it. Thanks everyone! #RunSteepGetHigh ;-P Run Trail.

6,000 steps today, finished my paintings. Painting is just a matter of hanging in there and adding layers. People just usually stop too early with frustration or they skimp on the paint and rub in bad paint with the wrong brush and worry about taking chances. Since I kinda feel like I'm talking to myself at this point so…

@MmamabearR -- wow cool - <3 clothes shopping :D Walked 15,000 steps today and did trail patrol and had a lot of fun. Found a new bird a 'sapsucker' a kind of woodpecker looking birdie. And an eagle was bringing a stick to its nest, kinda weird in December wonder if it's just an over achiever? Is he the Tony Robbins of the…

My training area for this run is going to be Saddle Mountain "The main trail is steep and difficult in spots, with a 1,640 foot rise in elevation over 2.5 mile" This is the toughest trail I've done, would it be adequate to train for Elk King on, or is too easy? This trail does have hand / foot scramble sections that are…

Non-Scale Victory Friday I set out to do some real deal yoga this week and keep after it everyday and so far so good. I signed up for the 'My Virtual Mission' and am going from home down the 101 Pacific Highway through Oregon and California some 2,000 miles. It's really cool seeing street views I know. Right now I'm on the…

Oh! I just saw the hedgehog pic! Hahaha, love it! <3 I always talk to traffic too, but my car has a traffic cam so it actually gets to record me talking to traffic. I hope I'm never in an accident where they pull the audio. I talk to other people's pets, I think that might be weird. My neighbors dog will talk back to me,…

Hmm, just looked up My Virtual Mission -- looks fun! I was using World Walking for awhile but will check into VM, I need to start that again, I think I would get more steps and have more fun getting them. I really like the henna from HennaKing.Com My scale is inching back up, I've gotten a bit into too many holiday treats…

@corinasue1143 -- I hear ya', my hair when it's white it's transparent and it just doesn't look like I have any hair. That and it falls out, by the handful (luckily was born with super thick hair so now that it's super thin it's still on my head but I'm 42 - thinking as time goes on I'm going to invest in hats,…

I posted earlier, not sure where it went though so maybe had too many tabs open and posted it somewhere else and people are now trying to determine who Mmamabear and Exploding Mango are ;-P I had a productive day. I've been painting again. I have so much fun at my paints but it's better in art school or some place someone…

@explodingmango -- Good luck with the program, what do you mean about 'terrified about what that might mean for my body and what it's doing' -- intriguing! Are you allowed to talk about the program you've been doing? Need deets! Gratitude Monday 1. My husbands work gave us a family pool pass. It has limitations and I have…

@MmamabearR - are you in IT? IT always rocks, they're the best. My husband is a network admin / programmer. :-)

@corinasue1143 Sorry to hear about your yoga teacher :( I really love the Yoga with Adriene series. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLui6Eyny-UzzWwB4h9y7jAzLbeuCUczAl Challenge yourself to a streak, daily yoga, or 4 days of yoga a week. It really makes a huge difference in how I feel. If you try it out let us know…

My head unexpectedly just stopped hurting yesterday afternoon. Hmm. It never does that. It usually carries on with some drama for awhile, but I feel pretty good today and I went out and did my volunteer service in the national park and swept bridges along the trail. Today I didn't eat breakfast, didn't feel like I needed…

Migraine today is developing so going to have to eat soon to take some pills for that, ack. But I did measure today and I've lost 2 inches off my waist, huzzah!. Be back tomorrow or whenever my head gets better *waves*

Here is a sample of the point sheet I'm working on, a person would print this out or otherwise track during the week and then fill out a form at the end of the week with totals for each category. Then weekly awards and a winner would be announced.…

In addition to earning points and going on a streak - I think we could improve our group chat a bit. Gratitude Monday thread - what are you grateful for today on Monday? Motivate Me Wednesday thread - post something (can be a meme image) to help nudge us along mid-week Non-Scale Victory Friday thread - WOOT -- I know you…

@Fyreside - I'm still on an exercise streak but had to start over, I think I'm at day 4 and I'm on day 3 of my IF with eating from 3-7 - my only modification is I take stomach medicine during the day and it's not zero calorie but it's the best I can do, I have to take my supplements (but I'm feeling really good today!). I…

@Fyreside - Actually Burly is taking a bit off and put you and I in charge if you want to go ahead with the spreadsheet that sounds great. Is it based on percentages? Crazy busy today but checking in :-)!
-
@plainanjelik -- wow you are one busy woman! whew. I don't know how you do it all but go you. Huzzah! There is something really cathartic about ticking off a box on a goal for a week. I'm going to give weekly goals a try. My fitbit is like, "you placed 3rd in the 20,000 step challenge" this week. Yeah I need to do a lot…

@corinasue1143 -- how many grandkids do you have? What ages? My kids have grown up now, I can't wait to be a grandma. How is your knee pain? 3lbs gained isn't bad for Thanksgiving. My other group I'm in calls it a win if you gained less than five. I think playing with grandkids sounds like thorough exercise!
-
@explodingmango -- yeah I had a similar experience to yours. I still ate too much and the wrong things but not as much as last year, probably not by half and I didn't munch my way through food all week long, just during dinner. I also skipped the bread rolls and stuffing (but had some pie - cause' for real: PIE.) haha…
-
Just wanted to sign in and say Happy Thanksgiving :-)
-
@MmamabearR -- Oh snap, that sounds amazing. I want your pie recipe. Seriously. I love pie. My son got on an airplane and accompanied his step-dad down to the South for a real Thanksgiving and he's just overwhelmed by the food, hospitality and nice people. I'm an only child, but my husband has 5 brothers and sister and…

@corinasue1143 — how are you doing recovering from the surgery? What is everyone doing for Thanksgiving this week? (Besides @Fyreside ! :-) I’m cooking Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday but half of the family is out of town so it’s going to be a little light.

Where I live a lot of runners, including myself, run with one ear bud in, the other one out and carry a personal alarm. Click a button and an ear splitting noise blares.

@Fyreside -- at first low carb I have a lot of energy and then it dips so let us know if the energy sticks around or if it dips, I'm curious to find out. Also how are the workouts going? Watched a documentary last night called "Cereal Killer 2" and it examines keto / low carb and endurance exercise. It was super low budget…

@Fyreside - way to go! That's terrific, just keep going. Diabetes is terrible and turns into a domino effect. I'm trying to dodge that bullet, I'm prediabetic but this has not been the best week in food for me. Had a migraine today but it's gone finally and hopefully for good. Yesterday was migraine part-1. I never know…

Day 3 streak, but just some little stationary bike because of migraine.
