Pick what works for you! I find I get a bit more lazy at home, and the act of going to the gym pushes me a lot harder, plus I don't have much equipment. For now, the gym keeps me on track, but that's what works for me :) Good luck- there are a lot of people who make great progress without ever setting foot in a gym.

Cardio: 2 hours walking, stationary rowing Strength: back squat (2x6, 2x8), bench press (2x5, 2x7), barbell row (2x5, 2x7) Assessment: felt good- still struggling with squat form but getting better.

Congratulations! Nice write up :)

Thanks, I am enjoying these :D

I do cardio fasted and lifting with at least a little something in my tummy, but I can't eat much before I workout either way. It is totally up to what feels best for you.

Trying this out! Thanks. Cardio: 20 minutes walking Strength: V-handle lat pull downs (2x8), leg press (2x10), push-up ladder (up to 5 today; 25 total) Assessment: Sore from yesterday's run, extra time foam rolling needed; Pizza for dinner

LMAO harem pants that is exactly what that feels like! haha

Same on the treadmill- but I would use the moving handles of an elliptical. I have never used a Stairmaster, but I see people do it either way at the gym.

This is actually why I like Greyskull LP with the microplates- although I don't have a specific powerlifting focus, the program can be tailored for powerlifting. I love its flexibility and small progression, plus have the last set as AMRAP allows me to hit rep PRs, even if I can't go heavier, which it harder for me to do…

I have liked the one's I have done, and generally recommend them to anyone looking for free exercise videos- they have such a massive collection for free (that plus blogilates, where she will give you a workout calendar monthly of her videos that changes up regularly, but not everyone enjoys pilates).

Progress, not perfection (similar to my picture quote) reminds me even if I fall short of a target I set for myself, it all counts as progress  It is a trial and error and a learning process to figure out our individual needs and goals.

So...I actually had to edit which Radiolabs I listened to because I would start crying on my way to work and people were like WTF? (just me? okay lol) I like all of those, plus Sawbones, Welcome to Nightvale, and a few others that are more hobby specific (I play Magic the Gathering so I listen to Limited Resources and…

Nothing beats a fresh hot Krispy Kreme donut :yum:

I wear my tight compression pants to workout in and maybe run a quick errand on my way home from the gym, but I don't wear them for daily activities or anything. But I certainly don't judge people who do wear them, it's just my preference not to. If you feel good wearing them, do it- that goes for anything, regardless of…

I love Optimum Nutrition's Gold Standard Whey Protein line. I like both the Rich Chocolate and Strawberry flavors. I don't worry too much about whey vs. casein personally, but I do find that my shake (120 cal, 25g protein) is satisfying (for me) so I haven't dug into the idea that one is better than another (and I think…

I just noticed my back rolls are gone!! Happy dance!

My Goodwill charges $6.99 for plus size jeans. I found a pair of 16s (a little big, but 14 is a hair too small at the moment) but when I went to the cashier, he rang me up for the regular pants price- $2.50. So even Goodwill will save me money big time for losing weight- I don't think I noticed the difference in prices…

I did this for the first time the other day and it felt very weird- it just is somewhat disorienting now that I know what normal portion sizes are. I know I could have eaten the larger cone- but now I know to ask myself why should I eat that large cone when I can get a smaller one, enjoy the moment, and stay on track?
-
Whoa, that sounds pretty good

I have noticed that to a certain extent- my tolerance for very greasy or deeply fried foods is lower than it used to be. But I was not sure if it was diet related or getting older or what. As for others, I would ask if you could take your leftovers home with you (it was delicious, I can't take another bite!)? That you ate…

I like Evol's Fire Grilled Steak Bowl and Lean Cuisine's Marketplace Vermont Cheddar Mac and Cheese. I keep a couple on hand for lazy days. I will need to try the Evol Mac and Cheese that you liked.

Every so often (every month or so) I just am not very hungry and eat maybe around that much one day. But honestly, I usually use it towards my weekly deficit and enjoy a few beers or wine with dinner that week. I agree with @TavistockToad - we need some more information, but in general, I try to make sure I hit at least…

Agreed- I sometimes get weird looks from people and dogs while I sing, but whatever

Congratulations on your first marathon! That's a great accomplishment

I usually do a Goodwill run to drop stuff off and pick stuff up- but I will look into local women's shelters now too. Thanks!
-
Glad that you did it! Just don't increase your overall mileage by more than 10% each week. I strongly do recommend, however, going to a running store and having a gait analysis to buy proper running shoes. You might not have issues now, I get that, but it really should be an investment you make sooner rather than later if…

I wish you luck- why are you giving diet coke up out of curiosity?

Congratulations on working so hard on your recovery and weight gain. Your hard work is really showing beautifully

I am still wearing some of my favorite tops even though they are too big- I will donate them soon, but it is a little harder than I thought to give up certain items from my collection. I don't want to hold onto them though- don't want to use them again :)
