  • You can gently suggest an unplugged wedding (no phones), but some guests are offended by it and some will do it anyway. If your biggest concern is them not knowing anyone, maybe you can put an ice breaker on the table to help them get to know each other? One wedding I went to had a mad-libs type thing where we filled in…
  • My dress is coming in in a month - they ordered it at my current size, but I really want it to be loose when I try it on so I'm stepping it up for the next 30 days! A smaller dress would've motivated me, but it also would have caused me to do some serious stress eating, so no good.
  • I'll add you right now! I normally try to stay around 1200, but I'll eat more if I'm hungry or do a harder workout. I try to keep it under 1500 even in those cases, although it doesn't always work.
  • Ahh alterations are what I'm most nervous about!! You've got enough time before June to make a little bit of a change - in my experience, it goes quickly at first and then plateaus a little if you're making major diet/exercise changes. Feel free to friend me if you want!
  • I think for your fitting all that really matters is your bra and your shoes (obviously only one of those is under the dress). Anything else would only be important if it impacts the way your dress fits. That being said, I know nothing about bras under wedding dresses, so I can't help much. I need to find a super-low back…
  • I'm July 2014! I'd like to lose 25 lbs or so (or at least slim down enough to look like I've lost that amount - I want to put some muscle on), but we'll see. It is slow progress - I just restarted tracking my food.
  • So many kids! I'm not sure which one would work best... what if you had one of the flower girls walk down with the ring bearer? That doesn't really help with the numbers and it isn't traditional, but it balances it a little more. I would vote for 1 or 3 so no feelings get hurt, but do all the nieces want to be flower…
  • I've heard that dresses can be taken in up to 2 sizes - beyond that, it gets tricky. Standard to order wedding dresses is in the 6-8 month timeframe and that should still give you time for alterations. My wedding is mid-July and I just started looking at dresses two weeks ago - the dress shop told me I should order by…
  • I'm a July 2014 bride, so I have a little over 8 months left to go. I would like to lose around 25-30 lbs (or at least drop some body fat!) I'm trying to stick with it, but I don't have any friends who are still using MFP so hopefully this group will help a little. Just in the past two weeks I've been eating healthy and…
  • I'm about two months late to this party.. but I'm excited to find a Wedding Bee board! I need more bride friends, so if anyone sees this please add me! :) My wedding date is July 19 and I haven't even looked at dresses yet. We're hopefully going to look in mid-December, so I want to try to lose 10 lbs or 2% body fat by the…
  • Feel free to add me - and that goes to anyone else on the board! I love new friends :) I try to log in every day. I also have a fitbit, although I haven't used it lately.
  • I unfortunately don't have any meals to share, but I was just looking around for something similar to this. Thanks everyone for sharing such good ideas!
