I wouldn't start any radical changes until you see the kidney doc. Particularly supplements. The doc needs to find out what the cause of your ckd is before treating. I'm cat 3 caused by an autoimmune disease - so they treat that. I've never needed a ckd diet so I can't help with that. Good Luck, I know how you feel…

Thought I would update this - the cardiologist retested after 2mo without crestor - the cpk went down but only in the 600's - he referred me to rheumatologist. After 1 week without exercise another retest by the rheumy & cpk was back to 90. So it looks like it was the exercise. As I said, I'm old & also not really healthy…

I use hemp protein powder in a smoothie. Mixed with almond milk, banana, cocoa powder.

Could you ask your doctor fro a referral for physical therapy? A good therapist should be able to work out a safe useful program. BTW, a 25 min walk is wonderful!

You were dizzy & shaky - you have symptoms & that's the problem not the actual number.What do you have to lose by calling the doctor now? Explain the dizzy shaky thing, if he says see you in a month, then it's OK

I would call the doc now - he may want to change your med - 105/68 is too low & you have symptoms - the doc will want to prevent things like falls

Hmmmm. Mine was many years ago & I guess things must have changed a lot - for me it was 2 weeks before I could consider exercise.

Is requiring posting calories of menu items going to help reduce obesity? Does for me. When I to Dunkin Donuts for a Cappucino & see the calorie count on the donuts - I refrain. I can handle the coffee but that's it!

Oatmeal made with soy or skim milk -add 1/4 cup chopped walnuts & a banana - that's about 15 grams.
