Take a banana and cut it length wise. Sprinkle 1 tbsp chocolate chips and put the top half of the banana back on. Microwave for 20-30 seconds :)

Great story! Thanks for sharing!

I loved reading your story! Thanks for sharing!

Eat more protein and vegetables... like salads with chicken or stirfry with shrimp/scallops. The veggies will allow you to have bigger meals while keeping the cals low. Have a snack between meals that contains a fruit and a protein (ex: apple and beef jerky). Lastly, stay away from the pre-packaged stuff... it's full of…

Congratulations on your 33 lbs weight loss (so far)! Your story and stats are somewhat similar to mine! I am only 5' 0''. I lost 40 lbs in 8 months by eating 1500-1800 cals because I was too hungry on 1200! Like you said, this is something I can stick to (especially because maintaining is somewhere around 2200 cals). Slow…

Wow, someone dug this one out of the grave for me! Thanks! This was my post from months ago. I couldn't remember my username and password for this account (vallemic) so I ended up making a new account (valleemic). Since then, my 118 (July 2012) slowly crept up to 132 (Dec. 2012). BUT, I'm happy to report that today, it's…

"Just do it!" - Nike "Try SOMETHING! If it works, do more of it, if it doesn't, try something else." "You are what you eat!" - I have heard this one so many times but have really bought into it over the last year or so!! I really don't want people to see me as a Big Mac ;)

I'm 5 feet 0 and mother of one. SW: 161.3 lbs CW: 121 lbs 40 lbs GONE! At 161.3 lbs At 121 lbs

The only way I can stick to 1200 cals/day and not be hungry is to add lots of fruit and veggies (low in cals)... If one doesn't like fruit and veggies, it could be hard!

I wanted to try a new vegetable this week and YUMMY! It's different... FENNEL! It looks like a big tulip bulb... while/light green in colour. Slice the fennel into thin pieces (it has layers like an onions) Slice carrots Spray a cookie sheet with a little oil. Place fennel and carrot slices on sheet, salt and pepper to…

I'm all about "Go Big or Go Home" but Bob and Delvette are getting better results with ALOT less smack talk! The men yell too but it just doesn't seem to be as humiliating.

1 fried egg (salt & pepper) on 1 piece of whole wheat toast, topped with two slices of ham. Lots of strawberries and blueberries on the side. Black coffee and water.

I'm 5 feet 0. Today I weight 128.8 lbs. My goal is 120 lbs for now and then I'll see!

Wow, thanks for sharing! Congrats on all your accomplishments!

For me, I think these things helped it "click" for me: 1. I was at my HEAVIEST ever... it grossed me out... I had no clothes to wear and I avoided social events... I think some people call this "hitting rock bottom". I knew I had to do SOMETHING. 2. I dedicate one day/week (Monday) to do meal planning, shopping, cutting...…

It's possible but it's a very challenging goal with no room for slip-ups! Good luck!

We seem to have quite a few social events too and yes, it is hard. I try to save up some calories to fit a drink or two in and then alternate the alcoholic beverages with something that looks like a drink like Perrier and diet 7 up with lemon.

Cheeseburgers and pizza (couldn't just pick one)!

As many will say, there really aren't any secrets. If there was a magic little secret, somebody would get awfully rich selling it, that's for sure! Like others will say, count calories, log the calories, keep moving, determination, etc. I would agree 100%! However, I do find it fascinating that many of us (including me),…

For me, it really is all about calories. I don't cut out carbs, fat or alcohol. Of course, eating 1200 calories/day doesn't leave a whole lot of room for lots of the bad stuff so the majority of what I eat can be found in the produce department, dairy and meat dept. A typical breakfast is raisin bran with skim milk and…
