  • It's a very hard time for me! Yesterday I may have stumbled upon a trick I want to share!!! Have a cherry and then keep the pit in your mouth while prepping and putting stuff away! It seemed to help me last night! I will try it again tonight. If you try it let me know how it goes. I don't like to chew gum so that never…

  • Used to live cottage cheese and peanut butter!! Any vegan protein is high in fat !! Then my fat is over the limit. I set me macros at 40/30/30, but am always over in carbs bc of veggies and salads. Vegan proteins are high in fat albeit lower in carbs. No win situation. Maybe duct tape! Lol....trying a protein shake with…

  • Me kitchen is open concept literally within steps to my living room where I spend time with the family after dinner. You have a good idea though, the kids want something after dinner they can go get it...not me...staying out of the kitchen that way

  • I am vegan and always seem to go over my carb allotment. Having lots of veggies puts you over the top. Protein is practically impossible to reach. Technically you only need 0.8g/kg. So I aim for 50 grams. Didn't want to go to vegan type protein shakes but besides tofu and tempeh (higher fat and Lower carb) getting enough…

  • Weight does fluctuate with water retention as well. Usually within the first week of watching what you eat you can loose alot of water weight, then the fat starts to go and as we all know losing fat is harder and takes longer, therefore lower numbers on the sale after the first week or so. Sometimes my weight will…

  • Hi my name is Jodi and I have been a vegan for the past 2 years and a vegetarian for the past 7. It is not easy to reach your protein macros being a vegan as well as stay on the lower end of the carbs to lose the weight. have managed to somedays do better than others. how are you doing getting in your protein being a vegan?
  • So as I see it, here are my options: 1) no dinner or switch to something like Slimfast for dinner 2) salads only for lunch with light or no dressing 3) Stop having rest days (so, bump up my workouts to everyday) 4) set calories to 1000 per day? 5) eat packaged meals so that I'm absolutely sure of the calorie count If you…

  • I love chocolate and usually crave it everyday so this is what I do: Vega One- all in one chocolate protein powder, mix it up and then partially freeze it, then enjoy with a spoon bc the sides have frozen so you scrape them off and its like a chocolate snow cone...but good for you:) lots of protein Vegan chocolate pie made…
  • Body fat percentage is one way to determin if you are losing fat and gaining mucle. The scales that you stand on with bare feet uses bioelectrical impedence, that is a current running up one leg down to the other. The faster it travels the less body fat you have and the lower the number the sclae will read. However, a…
  • YES CRISTAL LIGHT IS VERY VERY BAD FOR YOU!!! I know it flavours your water so you end up drinking more water which is very important in the weight loss journey. But aspertame is terrible terrible terrible. It actaully crosses the blood brain barrier and can cause MS like symptoms if you drink ALOT of it like it did a few…
  • Thank you everyone for your honest support and fantastic advice!! What a great community load with so much info. • OOPPSS :) sorry.....
