  • If you are used to or just feel the need to munch while watching tv, eat something that is a little labor intensive. Carrots seem to take forever for me to chew up so a few carrot sticks can last me a long time and are lo cal. Air popped popcorn eaten 1 piece at a time is another good one. Neither is about filled you up…
  • Great observations - I agree with everything you guys have said.
  • I understand where you are coming from. I went out for Mexican food Friday night and had Chinese yesterday. The sodium is killing me. Drinking lots of water and eating very low sodium for the next couple of days and things will be back on track.
  • Log your foods - every.single.bite! This is what is making me successful this time. Previously I would log for a few days/weeks then slack off and stop. I also was of the mentality that if I didn't log it, it didn't count. Now that I have been HONESTLY logging for almost 2 months, I realize how many extra calories I was…
  • Well, I'm only 16 down out of the 100 so we'll see how motivated I stay. Short term motivation - cruise coming up in 5 weeks - would love to be down another 8-10 lbs. Long Term Motivation - we moved into my inlaws house after they passed away last year. My MIL was heavy for as long as I've known her and now that I am…
  • I like a lot of sugar in my coffee and typically drink 2-3 cups per day so the sugar calories were adding up. I tried Splenda but am not crazy about straight Splenda (2 packets not quite sweet enough, 3 too much and a decided chemical taste) so now I do half and half - 1 packet splenda & 2 tsp sugar. I'm going to try and…
  • Same here. Please feel free to add me. I love checking out others diaries to give me meal/snack ideas. I tend to get in a rut --> get bored --> go off plan --> get discouraged --> stop logging --> go back to old bad habits. Can you tell I've done this before? LOL
  • Hello my name is Wendy. I'm 51 years old but physically feel much older which is one reason why I'm restarting this lifestyle change. I've been overweight for the past 30+ years mainly because I'm lazy. I hate to exercise. I hate to count calories/points etc consistently. I tend to eat out of boredom and since quitting…
  • I love all kinds of trail mix and can easily find myself going overboard. They usually have more calories than we think even though we think of as healthy because of all the nuts. I like o repackage a servings worth into snack bags that way I know what I'm getting and don't have to worry about underestimating the calories.
