I know my weight fluctuates during the day/week. I was/am afraid to claim the 5 because I think it would totally bother me to think I GAINED 2 when I weigh in tomorrow. And that would be very discouraging!

Great job! I use the food log the same way...when the 10pm munchies hit. (Yours sounded like 10am munchies?) I tell myself that I don't want to log more food after I've already finished for the day. Sometimes I can't fall asleep until 2 or 3 am, so my body is ready for another meal. Let's keep up the good work!

Good luck with your goals! This site seems so much easier to use than others, so I hope we both have awesome results. I am new here too--about 10 days. I'm currently in SW MI, and can't imagine transplanting elsewhere...except when they are predicting 12+ inches of snow. :-)

I just started a few days ago...so far so good, even with the holidays. :-) This site seems to be easier to use and I'm trying to make myself not be too much of a perfectionist. Good luck, maybe this will be the plan that finally works for all of us!
