  • Focused macro? Is that just whichever one we want? Is it the one we have set as our highest? Are we choosing it as a team?
  • walked 5 km to and from work (forgot to use my pedometer so i will figure this out by remembering to use it tomorrow) plus the walking at work, which cannot be easily tracked as i was at my retail job and running all over the store. water 48 oz total inches 222.25 does map my walk track steps? in case I don't remember my…
  • You should be called: Ally You are from (Timezone): :/ i don't know... same as new york or toronto Your weigh in day: wednesday Favorite exercise: walking or dancing Favorite healthy food: eggs or baby spinach Struggling Areas (night snacking/lack of motivation/ junk food etc): I'm a picky eater so i tend to re use the…
  • I really like my local curves: it seems to cater to a wide variety of women in terms of age and fitness level, it's almost impossible to hog a machine, classes are optional, the workout has a defined length. There is so much truth in the post above mentioning weight stalling and adjustments to resistance on the equipment

  • I was able to do my workout DVD without doing the modified moves tonight. also was able to somewhat gracefully walk my hands back from downwards dog to be able to stand back up
  • hey, just wondering, what is the difference between a chin up and a pull up? i always thought it was two words for the same thing?
  • I use iPhone and on the app, when you click your 3 line menu icon the "reminder" option is on there. and you can pick a time it reminds you and what it reminds you for (each meal, or a matter of days) if you use anything other than iPhone, it may be somewhere similar, but I don't know for sure about those versions of the…
  • it does say it is an estimate and actual results may vary... are you sure you're logging everything? precisely? measuring and weighing everything? is the spoon of sugar you add to your coffee exactly a teaspoon? a level tbsp of peanut butter etc? so many sneaky calories that add up...

  • the calories burned are from calories you burn just by being alive. i found it really helpful to set my activity level to sedentary on MFP once i installed and linked fit bit to my account as it calculated too many calories burned when i left it at moderate

  • I think losing inches is better than the number on the scale going down, because not only YOU get to see them. When you lose numbers on the scale, thats usually pretty private unless you're inviting your family, friends etc to look at the number, but when you lose inches, that loss is on display for you and EVERYONE else…
  • i'd like to give this a try!
  • Theres an app for that! on iPhone there is one called Sex Counter:Tease FREE. you put the phone on the bed and it will count strokes and time and calories. Equivalents probably exist for BB and android.
  • its definitely a preference thing, but that is the way MFP is set up and how the app works. Whatever your intended weight loss goal is per week, MFP will have you eat the calories to get to it. If you burn extra calories you'd lose faster without eating the extra, but you may be consuming too few for what your body needs,…
  • I used to feel the same thing! i have friends who are at 6** days of logging. or who just celebrated 365 days. Once I put MFP on the first page of the apps on my phone, right next to my text messages it became second nature. my streak right now is 59 days! i had a previous streak of ALMOST 30, and it broke my heart to lose…
  • I usually take my fitbit off during non walking exercises. I work in a clothing store and have caught it giving me step credit for clothes folding… that said, when i first got it I tried entering some exercises and with time entered, the activity overwrote what the fitbit tracked as steps, but i entered it on MFP not in…
  • i've ordered some good cardio dvd's from prevention magazine… low impact, mostly walking steps with some basic dance steps thrown in (grape vine type stuff). one I got even came with a book of recipes and a complete meal plan for two weeks.
  • I just got the fitbit flex, and my boyfriend got the up24. both are very similar, but i wish we had gotten the same one so we can friend and challenge each others steps/day the battery life is about the same (5 days before a recharge) the fitbit doesn't automatically go to sleep mode if you forget to set it, but you can…
  • I find it so much easier if i pack my gym bag the night before (including a post workout snack and my lunch for at work in the fridge to just quickly add to it) , leave it near the door, and wake up with only enough time to get dressed and head out. If i have to pack my bag right then…i may not, but already packed is easy…
  • i found my favourite pair simply by googling "fat girl boots"
  • I had this happen to me a few days ago with perogies and bacon. was really looking forward to that meal, only to find it held no actual appeal once I tasted it.
  • Find a decent light beer if you're a beer drinker. They're hard to find, but not impossible (at least in Canada)
  • I live in Canada so healthcare is covered, but leaving my doctor would mean months waiting for a new doctor, as there are not many who take new patients on the regular. He knows I am actually working on losing the weight, I've lost 28 lbs since seeing him last.
  • i like half a banana and frozen berries with milk or orange juice, a little grated ginger and vanilla protein powder or strawberry yogurt, vanilla protein and fresh strawberries (but them the night before and let them marinate in their juice, the get SO sweet)
  • pre cook and shred some chicken breast and make quesadillas. sounds like a not very camp food but they get so amazingly crisp on a propane grill! veggie dogs are another hot dog alternative. nuts are a great snack, can just toss the shells into the fire.
  • I'm in. I did it for the first time on tuesday, and just finished my second workout with it.
  • a sundress and thigh highs!
  • I work in a clothing store, and my moment came when i no longer fit into the pants i was selling. And seeing pictures of me sitting from the side... really unattractive backfat...
