Thanks! Some of these things people have said are hilarious! (To the main poster of this topic - I know a woman who did the bariatric surgery to good effect. But it doesn't sound like you'll need it because you're motivated & found MFP).

Yes- I can gain 4 pounds in a day during that time of the month - but it drops right off. No idea what causes it.

That's cool. Glad you're having an easy time staying within your net calorie goal!

3 egg omelett with 2 slices of low-fat jarlsberg cheese. 310 calories and fills me up for hours and hours.

My goal today is to rest & recover (from a boyfriend drama last night) & get a lot of sleep. Seem to be somewhat back on track with regard to monitoring what I eat (thanks to you all doing the same & inspiring me!) I will walk 2 miles tonight with the dogs.

Yes- it's possible if you're starting off with a lot of weight to lose. Will be very hard to do if you only have 30 pounds total to lose. When I was really fat, I lost about 10 pounds per month for 6 months in a row. Then the next 15 pounds took FOREVER to lose...after 4 months of losing zero pounds and just staying at the…

Good idea to keep this in mind... 1. Your Current Weight (as of this morning) - is 183 2. The # of total lbs you are down since you started this group - 3 pounds lost in 3 weeks (down from 186 on week 1; & down from 260 a year ago). 3. The hardest part so far: I've been eating out a lot and meeting friends for drinks,…

Hi - What an inspiration! I love the pics of you in the pink dress with the green grass behind you. Very cheerful and Springy!

Hi Everyone, I'm kind of tired today from a good gym workout last night; and a 'draining debate' (not exactly an argument) with the guy I've been dating. Am going out for drinks with the girls tonight - so my goal is to keep it to 2 or 3 low-sugar cocktails, rather than wine or gin gimlets (which have 200 calories each).…

Hi Everyone, My goals today: - Gym for 20 minutes on Elliptical - Take supplements which aid in fat-burning (Green Coffee extract, CLA, B-12 & B-6). - Maintain focus on health and eating right. - Stay below 1800 net calories today. (have been averaging 2000 net calories per day for several weeks - so 1800 would be an…

All these posts have good advice. I have a little digital scale and measure wine & fruit (on which I tend to want 'exaggerated' portions). I should use a tablespoon to measure peanut butter & almond butter - but I generally eyeball it. Trader Joe's has a lot of pre-packaged measured portions - which are already in the MFP…

Hello All, Today's health/ weight loss goals: - Get plenty of sleep . Hi Sgouti1, I've heard from a few medical sources (including Dr. Oz's book YouOnADiet) that a healthy diet that has 1000 net calories per day is fine - and doesn't trigger the body's starvation response. So maybe you don't have to eat back all the exercised calories to 1200. maybe 1000 calories is fine. I have the opposite…

Good afternoon! Lots of you seem to be doing 30 Day Shred. Will have to google that. I walked the dogs 35 minutes at the beach, attended physical therapy for my ski injury, and AMAZINGLY - kept to yesterday's net calorie goal (It's been WEEKS and WEEKS since I've done that). So this Group Forum has me back on track with…

Love this!

Interesting - maybe a pencil skirt! It's been years since I've worn one of those... As for lingerie, I like buying nice stuff on the way down. It's pretty, makes me happy, and it's fun to be a 36D now instead of a 40DD bra size.

Hello, Thanks for asking! I'm back on track after being off track for a couple of weeks. Sent a few emails yesterday to people in this Group - asking if they'd connect as friends. So I'm very excited to have a new MFP friends today! Exercised a bit this morning - and ate a healthy, high protein/ no carb breakfast (the dogs…

For today's Commitment, I will go to the gym after work - and do 20 minutes on the exercise bike (for knee ligament physical therapy). Then, I will walk to Nordstrom to return 2 items. That's about 1.3 mile walk. Earlier today, I already walked the dogs 1.5 miles. However, I have been WAY overeating carbs for the past…

Weigh In info... I've been WAY overeating carbs recently which is definitely not ideal. Now it's time to get back on track. Now there are just 4 weeks until my college reunion and 6 weeks to lose the 20 pounds that we have committed to... Thank heavens for this group or I would likely have continued being 'off track'…

Hi, I'm Laura. I've lost boatloads of weight (~70 pounds) over the past year by reducing garbage-y carbohydrates (such as sugar and white flour) but I still want to lose about 20-30 more pounds to get back to a great weight for my height. My college reunion is in 35 days (& my 3 college roommates have ALL stayed really…

Hi - Please feel free to add me as a friend! I've lost about 80 pounds so far - from February 2012 until now (by reducing my carbohydrate intake) - and now I am in the process of losing another 22 pounds. Just started using MyFitnessPal app on December 28th and LOVE it! Cheers, Laura
