My reasons: 1) I'm tired of shopping for clothes in the "women's" or "plus-size" section. It's a new (and annoying) experience for me and I want out. 2) I'd like to maybe enjoy the beach again. 3) And finally I want to stop hiding behind people in photos.

I had my last cig on New Year's Eve. This is day 3 and so far, so good. Cold turkey was the only way to do it for me. I have been smoking a half a pack a day for 29 years. Good luck to all of us!

The main one is that I quit smoking (3 days now) I signed my 11 y/o son up for the gym and now we go together I started tracking my food (which is really eye-opening. I should be eating half of what's usually on my plate, lol)

Ok. Starting weight as of 1/1/13 is 221. I'm trying a high protein/low carb Mediterranean diet along with at least 3x/week at the gym. I'm excited to get started.
