  • Thanks everyone for the tips!
  • I use C25K Pro. I really like that one. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.guyhoffman.c25k.pro&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDEsImNvbS5ndXlob2ZmbWFuLmMyNWsucHJvIl0.
  • Do you give yourself a cheat meal? If you really think you can stay disciplined and only keep it to 1 meal or 1 day then I would highly suggest it. It gives you motivation to keep on track with your diet and something to look forward to. I used to have a cheat day but the food I used to eat started making me feel sick so I…
  • Whoa! Baby steps! LOL I am just now getting comfortable with running 3 miles on a regular basis. I want to try to run a 5K and then MAYBE I will start looking in to 10K.
  • Yes you are supposed to eat back your calories earned from exercise especially if you are feeling weak. Other web sites automatically assume you are going to work out and set your calorie goal according to that. My Fitness Pal doesn't assume that and sets your calories based on what you enter. So I would look at your…
  • You might want to look at a program called Couch 2 5K. It is designed to help you get into running and build up your energy and breathing. It is only 9 weeks long. I could barely run around the block but now I am running 3 miles every other day.

  • I definitely think you need a cheat day! I don't do it once a week but I do it once every two weeks. I think it helps me stay on track with dieting and gives me motivation to do really well with my eating and have something to look forward to it. I wouldn't go buck wild and consume 3 or 4 times more calories than you do…
  • I never do but it's really up to you. If you are hungry and you have extra calories due to exercise, I would use some of them.
  • I would really try to get as close to the recommended calories as possible without going over. It is not a good idea to really deprive yourself especially if you are active. You need calories in order to burn fat. I would make sure all the info you have entered in to MFP is accurate including your activity level and goal…
  • I use a program called Couch 2 5K to get back in to running. It has really worked. It's a 9 week program and starts off slow with walking and jogging. Then each week it's more jogging and less walking. It helps build up your stamina and speed. The first few weeks might be pretty easy for you but worth a shot. If you have a…
