  • Mine takes 2 weeks off too and it goes way too fast. They are only newborns once so it's nice he will have that time with the baby, especially as December is such a busy month. My first was born 21/12 so I was glad to have him about to help with wrapping presents, shopping etc.
  • I was the same Rosy, just have a couple of good days and drink lots of water, it won't be as bad as you think!
  • When I'm starving all the time! I was set at lose 1/2 a week up until about 20 weeks. Then moved up to maintainence and now at 31 weeks am toying with the idea of adding the 200 extra calories recommended for the 3rd trimester here in the UK. I've put on 13 pounds so far and think I can keep it in the 25-30 range with this…

  • We decided not to find out again, for a lot of reasons. Mostly, because we really love the suprise at the birth. Out daughter was a suprise and it was great. Also I know several people who want us to have a boy, despite the fact we would love to have another girl. I'm sure my MIL wants it to be a boy, not because it…
  • cream cheese on a bagel, hard boiled egg, or egg salad sandwich?
  • Hi, I don;t have any personal experience with this, but just wanted to encourage you to think of the odds the other way. There is a 52/53 chance that your baby is perfectly healthy. Those are odds most people would be happy to bet lots of money on. I really hope your wait is as short as possible and that you are hearing…
  • I'm nearly 30 weeks and my rib cage now measures 4 inches larger than it did before I was pregnant. So yeah, the organs are moving up and causing aching too. I think my baby is growing up rather than out. :) I've just gotten used to it.

  • Go to the doctor or hospital. They will be able to check what the fluid is, If your waters have broken you may need antibiotics until you go into labour. Hope your okay!
  • l wouldn't be concerned. I'm only up 9 pounds at 28 weeks and baby is measuring spot on. As long as you aren't starving yourself you'll start putting on what you need to eventually. There's no need to eat more just for the sake of it. Here in the UK, you don't get weighed at all, so I don;t think weight gain/loss is as…

  • What other reason is there to excercise? :)
  • I was really bloated the first trimester of this pregnancy, and looked much further along than I was for awhile. It did go away though and a bump finally grew when it should!
  • Congratulations Emily, can't wait to hear all about it!
  • At 27 weeks with a 8 pound gain and I would say at the moment it is all bump and boob, but I expect my face to start filling out soon and my theighs to get bigger. :) My rib cage and hips are a lot bigger but this is due to the rib cage and pelvis expanding, not so much from weight gain. My rib cage is probably 4 inches…
  • Hi, Sounds like you are really close to your time! I'm on heperin injections as well, as I have a blood clotting disorder that caused 5 miscarriages after the birth of my first child. I get to stop at 34 weeks though, so I will be having this baby at home. Well done on the weight gain, you may well be under your…
  • Hi, Congratulations. I had bleeding like that with this pregnancy due to a blood clot at the site where the baby implanted. It took a few weeks but eventually it all bleed out or dissolved. It wasn't dangerous, just annoying to get worried everytime it happened. Could also be bleeding from the cervix if it is sensitive.
  • 22-28 weeks is the time when the baby grows a lot, and most people will gain the most in those weeks. Don't worry!

  • And she was born 4 days later!
  • Just wanted to say to anyone worrying about positions of baby that my daughter was breech until 39 weeks. Went in for the final ultrasound to confirm and book a c-section and she flipped while we were in the waiting room. So don't worry! It's not too late until you are in labour. ;)
  • I'm in the UK so I see a midwife, but they don't weigh you at all here, except for the starting appointment so they know if you are high risk etc. Plus as it's not my first pregnancy I only saw the midwife once before 22 weeks. They do it that way in the UK because the amount you gain really doesn't matter. If anything, it…
  • I didn't gain until week 22 I think? It comes on all too quickly at the end, so don't worry about it. Just try to keep it steady when it does start coming on. :0
  • That's great news. Hope everything continues to go well.
  • Hello, I do kettlebell workouts 3 times a week, using a 6kg kettlebell. I'm 5'8 and weigh 166lbs and I'm 26 weeks pregnant. I burn between 7-10 calories a minute and only between 11-12 calories a minute for a high intensity one that leaves me gasping for breath. Upping the weight would significantly increase your burn, but…

  • I can recommend the clary sage, I put it in my bath everyday towards my due date. I also used it when I was in labour and it made the contractions stronger. Good Luck!
  • Congratulations! I'm so pleased to hear you got your VBAC. Sounds like you managed the situation really well. Take care of yourself and I hope you have a speedy recovery.
