  • I'm also another doing Low Carb for my PCOS, i will also start to supplement with D-chiro-Inositol, but mostly because I'm really ready to start my body for conception with my fiance within the next year or so. The VLC has made so many positive changes for me, so thankfully it's easier for me to shrug the a$%holes off.…

  • a pizza stone does wonders, split in in half so it's a thinner crust and put it on a pizza stone with a little cornmeal under it so it doesnt stick and i swear youll never miss the crusty yummy gluten-filled pizza you used to have. my bf is a pizza chef and it wasnt until meeting him and him insisting on making it for me…

  • hey there, i've been diagnosed celiac for almost 4 years now. when you are brought up with gluten it def is hard to transition but it's more our minds getting in our way, it gets easier. friend me if you'd like i always have my diary open. i've found that the primal lifestyle works for me personally, but i know alot of…
  • thank you all for responding, i appreciate hearing all your stories, but i guess more my point was the fact that i wanted to stop all medications period, especially being celiac, most binders in all these prescriptions contain forms of gluten that've been making me ill, regardless of weight loss. i'd love to hear diet…
  • def agree with the garlic part, and if no soy than try just a toooouch of the Worcestershire sauce and add some (if you have) sesame or olive oil and garlic to bulk it a bit more so it'll coat all the rice and flavor it without being to intense :)
  • how about a yummy stir-fry? dice up the chicken or pork chops and sautee them with the broccoli, cauliflower, peppers and onions over a "fried rice" with the rice, a lil soy sauce, some carrots and an egg bunch of protein super filling and should bang out those calories without too much guilt (plus it'll add a lil fiber…
  • I have to agree with this, it's actually most economical to buy your own ingredients and prepare. Supplementing with a small fast food item once in awhile, when on the run is one thing. But produce and basic proteins are just as cheap and make much more that you can portion and bring to work or school and still have a…
  • PATIENCE! haha it takes much longer to cook and a touch more liquid to cook in. def don't rec. adding salt to it (salt naturally makes rice a little tougher which is great to keep white rice kernels separated) but brown rice has its own husk/fibers so it'll stay separated on its own and it'll be a little too toothy if you…
  • haha now i've got lame musical tunes playin' in my head! my hero!! haha i'll have to save it for cheat day (i'm a Primal eater so i rarely do dairy unless for my cheat day) but sooo worth it! your a rockstar! did you think of em first, or did you have the quinoa and decide to try these out and they worked well? either way,…
  • bump, omg you just made my day!! i've been getting to bare bone sin my kitchen and i see this big box of quinoa that everyone hated the first time i prepared, the chicken and chorizo recipe i'm certain will make us all converts! soooo pumped to try them all though!
  • when i first started i was getting weird tummy aches too (i'm also PCOS so at first i thought it was my ovaries) but i found that switching to gluten-free products and fresh veggies for my carbs helped significantly (and i lost weight dramatically, which as a PCOS woman i'm sure you know isn't easy for us at all!) and also…
