I'm doing the North Carolina one at the end of August :) Pam

Girl, I feel your pain. I'm actually trying the 'eat more' thing this week myself because I've been doing this for 7 weeks now, lost 4 pounds right away in the first two weeks (which was really just some I'd gained over the holidays) then NOTHING. I am doing the next running program leading up to 10k, so run 4-5 miles, 3 x…

Wow, that was quite a time for you. Welcome to the site and good luck on your weight loss goals!

Funny! I'd never thought about making eggrolls just without the wrapper. Wonderful! Thanks! Pam

I get emails every day, but I've been on the list for a while. Did you confirm your subscription?

Okay, a big fat HURRAY for Greek Yogurt and ranch mix! I did it last weekend and even my husband was like, "Wow." This guy hates most low-fat, low-cal food. It was cool because you can just dump the mix into the yogurt container, mix and you're done. It was perfect like that for veggie dip, but I got a little out and added…

I feel the same way! Thanks for the tip! I actually don't like how thick some of them are, so this is perfect :) Pam

That is so awesome and inspirational! Thank you for sharing :)

Thanks for sharing! I love quinoa - I can't wait to try it! Pam

You know, I'm curious too. Because I hear so much about how salt can keep you from losing weight, so since I tend to eat way too much (added, not just in the food) I quit adding it to my food at all. Believe me, this was huge. I've been trying to quit eating salt for years but really wanted to see if it made a difference.…

I think I'm in the same boat. I'm usually around 1100-1200, even days that I work out, and I'm stuck. I've not been at it too long though, going on week 5, so I was trying to wait and see if it'd start moving again, but I may bump it up just a little. I honestly am eating enough that I'm not hungry, but maybe I'll do…

I'm sorry for the hard year you had, but thank you for sharing because it really is an inspiration how you made a commitment to yourself, your health and your kids despite it all then stuck with it. Congratulations on the success :) Pam

Glad I'm not the only one who gave themselves an extra inch unknowingly :) I thought I was 5'3 1/2" for the longest time, but I'm actually 5'2 1/2" I'm at 161 and looking to get down to 130. I'd actually like 120, but I've not been that small since MIDDLE school. (I'm 36) So we'll see, one step at a time.

You're an inspiration and thank you for sharing your story on the blog. Pam

Wow that's amazing! You're topic got my attention and cracked me up. That sounds so familiar. I've said something like that to my son who was bragging about how fast he can do a mile, but he can't continue to run with me when I run 3 or 4. :) Go turtles! And congratulations! I'm just now getting started on moving up to a…

I hadn't even thought about the costume yet...hmmm... that'd be fun! I'll def'ly need to look for ideas on something that won't get in the way (thinking about The Incredibles and the warning about capes ;) haha!) How about shoes? That's actually something that's puzzles me - with all of that mud, how do you keep your shoes…

Bump too. I'm doing the NC one in late August.

Keep in mind that muscle weighs more than fat. So if you're building muscle than it will at first make you heavier, then the balance will tip and it will burn more fat. You'll see the scale drop when it does tip. Make sure you're getting some strength training in too for that to happen. I generally don't start worrying…

Love it too! The Sports Game, the Adventure and Dance are all excellent. Pam

I'm with Goron59 I'm afraid. I can't stand weak beer, so will budget in for a good one. I'd rather not have a beer than have anything light. Vodka with diet soda is a good choice too. Pam

You look amazing! I'm so jealous of your stomach :) Congratulations! Pam

Hungry Girl's (www.hungry-girl.com) website and books have a lot of great ideas of egg things you can quickly cook in a mug. I just got an email about some new ones today: Sweet Cheese 'n Apple iMug PER SERVING (entire recipe): 188 calories, 3g fat, 506mg sodium, 15g carbs, 2g fiber, 9.5g sugars, 24.5g protein --…

That's a great idea! Congratulations too! The two I did last year (my firsts) were 40 and 39, so I'm hoping to get faster this year now that I've found running :) (Well, found that I actually like it, which I never knew!) I'm trying this thing called the Warrior Dash at the end of August. I hope that it will help push me…

Here is a fish and fennel recipe: 2 pounds fennel with fronds still attached (3 medium bulbs) 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil 1 medium onion, preferably a spring onion, chopped (about 1 cup chopped onion) 2 garlic cloves, minced Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste 1 1/2 pounds firm white fish fillets, such as…

I actually just read an article from Jillian Michael about something like this, leptin resistance. http://www.jillianmichaels.com/fitness-and-diet-tips/leptin-resistance?xid=nl_LosingItWithJillianMichaels_20110104 Maybe that is what's going on? Pam

Thank you for asking, and the info you ladies have given. I honestly had no idea that salt could cause all of those issues. Crazy, I know. I've read all kinds of things on health and exercise but have ignore the salt warnings. I'm going to Trader Joes today to get that 21 stuff and will start trying that! (Seriously, you…
